That was pretty sweet! The thing that's crazy to me is that usually in a brickfilm you can pick out little imperfections in the animation, but I really didn't see any here. Fantastic job!

@MRlegobuilder98711 жыл бұрын
I just watched this. Its the best brickfilm I have ever seen. The concept was great, the sound editing was wonderful, the sets were well built, the steamers were cleverly designed, the cinematography was extremely advanced for a brickfilm, and the animation is probably the smoothest and most realistic ever in brick filming history (really). I can't express how impressed I am. This is just a gem. I am going to watch this again, Its just really amazing. Outstanding work. Truly outstanding.

I don't think I ever commented on this when I first watched it many years ago, but I'm doing so now, because this piece has aged so well. Many praise your impeccably smooth animations, as they are indeed a hallmark of a twickabrick film, but what doesn't get praised as often is the writing. Whether the mood is humorous or dramatic, the story is always instantly captivating. The Front is no exception. But to specifically address this film, I want to express how much it has inspired me in my (far fewer and not as beautiful) films. From little animation tricks I picked up from this piece or the greater overall story, I like to think that The Front has inspired much of what I've animated today-or hope to in the future. Thanks for being out there, twickabrick. May this channel never die.

I honestly cannot express how blown away I was by this film. The animation was phenomenal. The story had a wonderful flow, and the camera movements were superb (very unique at times, and amazing). This is by far one of the best animations I have ever seen. I eagerly look forward to your next film! :) Keep up the amazing work!

A master piece. Your animation, completed with finesse. Storyline, excellent, lighting and camera movement, beautiful. Am I the only one who thinks that this animation has the most "life-like" feeling out of all brickfilms? You definitely deserve more recognition! Looking forward to watching your other pieces and what may come in the future! -Matt

I like the minimalistic mood of the Film. The handling of the guns and depiction of the bullets are magnificend. As the mirror and "walk of shame" scene. I believe the way the flashbacks where implemented are unique in cinema in general. Great Work 👍

@ForlornCreature10 жыл бұрын
That was great! I loved the animation, you have a very nuanced style. The sound design was good, if a bit sparse in some places. The voices were the weakest part - 9:58 is a pretty good example where the actor really needed to go above normal talking levels. In future you should be much more aggressive in how you approach voicework, to really sell what's happening. Great style though! How do you get those delicious handheld-type camera shots? They just felt really great.
@twickabrick10 жыл бұрын
First off, thanks for the feedback! To answer your question, the handheld shots are actually pretty easy to get thanks to the shape of our camera and the rig we use, which you can see a picture of here: www.flickr.com/photos/23944232@N02/11672475773/in/set-72157639238963976 With this setup, it's pretty easy to just rotate the camera around in the rig a little bit between each frame.
