The local school is causing Hoppy problems. First Bar 20 cattle are stolen when Hoppy investigates a problem there. Then the new teacher arrives and disrupts the routine of the Bar 20 hands. Later with the Bar 20 hands at graduation, the rustlers are poised to strike again. But there is dissension among them and this will lead to the break that Hoppy needs.

The fact that Archibald is still in it dates the film 1935, in 1941 an episode had him caught in a landslide but still helping Hoppy thwart the bad guys. That's when his name changed to Archie. btw Gabby left the production company when he hit it in the stock market. Retired. Came back after it went bust to be Roy Rogers side kick and recover his fortune. I say his loss our gain.
