The Fruit of Grisaia - Box Opening & Card Review [Weiss Schwarz]

Grisaia's first set has arrived on the stage of Weiss Schwarz! This Visual Novel-based title offers waifus of all sorts, each with a distinct personality and associated fruit, hence the set's name "Fruit of Grisaia"! This set incorporates memory-based strategies in a similar way to the Saekano sets that we recently looked it, but plays an aggressive strategy that wants to make damage stick and prevent the opponent from healing!

Considering this is an older set, do you think it can be as good as other decks in the current meta?

Frankly speaking, I think Grisaia is a step behind in the meta. Its defining feature as a competitive set is the Kazuki antiheal, but many of the top decks are either unaffected by antiheal or don’t care about the tax. Besides that, Grisaia doesn’t have much going for it relative to other competitive options. Not a bad set, but not one I would consider bringing to a big tournament.

It’s gonna be dumb when Alice gets hit. This deck doesn’t care about Nino and standby. It’s just a smooth loopable lvl1 game plan that keeps pushing till your opponent is ready to get shoved to 4, then ko’s it’s op with it’s Kurumi-lite finisher.
