No he got iced he was second in the first round and last in the second essentially having to wait for 7 rounds of the others playing. All momentum he had got lost where Damian went last in the first and went second in the final.

I am saying the position at which was his turn was second and then he had to wait 7 rounds to go last in the second round/final which took away the momentum and rhythm he had. literally the opposite of everything you just said. jerky mechanics, terrible lower body movement, off-center spin. My shooting coach use to tell me that when someone is shooting like that, don't even watch them shoot cause you'll pick up bad habits lmao. Good for Haliburton for making the competition but damn that is an ugly jump shot. He could be in the ugliest jumpers of all time club with Shawn Marion and Shaq.

@@mattd9881 you don’t need to be a professional shooting coach to be able to look at someone and say if they have good mechanics. But since you seem to be in the Halliburton has good mechanics camp. Go watch some video of Allen Houston. He had the best shooting mechanics I’ve ever seen. After him, their are a handful of guys that are close…Klay Thompson comes to mind, although klay’s release has been inconsistent since his return from injury (a lot of half follow through shots where he stops his stroke before complete extension. Obviously that’s not picking a bit but if we are making a best shooting form of all time list then their has to be some nit picking) Their are also a handful of all time great shooters that had flawed mechanics. Such as Reggie Miller, who I considered to be in the top 5 all time, but he had a hitch half way through is shot and an odd wrist cross on his release. Kenny Smith also had an ugly jumper but was an excellent shooter (shot from his shoulder instead of the center of his body, and had almost no arc on release ) Clyde Drexler had a busted form on his shot too but was a competent shooter. (His shot was brought back behind his head and he kicked his legs forward as he brought his arms forward. Used to try to mimic his form for giggles in warm ups. Shawn Marion who I mentioned earlier as having a hideous jump shot was also an above average shooter, so having an ugly or flawed jump shot does not preclude someone from being a great shooter, but conventional wisdom would suggest that you will be the best version of your self with refined mechanics. The greatest shooter of all time, Curry, actually has a couple odd things about his form. He tends to push a bit from his neck area as the ball comes up, and he flicks his left wrist pressing the ball with his left thumb as he is releasing with his right hand. Almost shooting 2 handed which I’ve never seen another shooter do. Point being, sometimes people have perfect form (Houston), and sometimes people have hideous form(Marion). It’s possible to be successful with bad form but as a general average, great shooters tend to have better form than poor shooters
