One thing you should defo do if you haven’t already is get a wheel hanger for the rear wheel that’s separate from the door - as it will reduce the strain on the door and stop it sagging / bending.

I actually have a Cummins 6bt engine in my Fordson Major tractor. An excellent engine if maintained well. Don't forget to check out the killer dowl that famously works itself loose and then often falls into the timing gears totally wrecking the engine ... Mine has been addressed with the addition of a modification kit. 🚜🚙

No air filter is a good way to kill a good motor, try getting an intake inlet thats not in the engine bay aswell.

@@abi.coombes​​⁠ it’s your truck, your engine and your money, but I wouldn’t run that thing without an air cleaner! Those 12 valve 5.9 Cummins 6BT engines are very reliable workhorses, but when the turbo is sucking in all sorts of particles from the environment contaminating the air intake components all the way into the cylinders, well, that’s not exactly the right thing to do because the contamination causes allot of internal damage to that engine. A large chunk of something solid could even blow the veins on the intake side of the turbo too, filling the engine with lots of debris which might just take out the whole engine, right? Now, take care and go do the right thing!

Nice defender, I’ve got a TD5 and a Puma, both working tipper vehicles, we do an awful lot of off road working and there’s no other vehicle like them out there. Do put an air filter on it.👍

Why is there no intake filter on that turbo? It's just sitting there exposed, waiting for things that are not air to sucked into the turbine and into the engine. My toe nails curled up seeing that.
