The full history of the TALYLLYN RAILWAY and the beginning of preservation

The story of the Talyllyn Railway is unique in itself, as it started as a small Welsh line dedicated to slate that seemed to have no future at all, but ended up becoming an innovation for the time with its preservation concept. Its landscapes, locomotives, and anecdotes are so striking on their own that they have served as inspiration for many stories and also for the founding of hundreds of other lines of its kind.
How did a pair of adventurous little locomotives manage to keep their line running in days when only volunteers ran it? That's the story I'm here to tell you today!
