You can kill Makarov in Modern Warfare Remastered to unlock the achievement Time Paradox to prevent MW1-MW3 from happening. One can argue the alternate timeline continues on from there.

He fought in the 6th Airborne Division and the SAS in Call of Duty. He also led a group from the 7th Armoured Division during Call of Duty 2.

Shift yeah, when I was a kid growing up with these games I never really caught on to such an in depth meaning such as that and the story never really stuck, except for the fact Sandman and Ghost were epic. But as an older person, getting a whole painting of the story makes you really appreciate the creative team behind these games and I hope the newest one will be just as good or greater. Also from what limited knowledge I have, I’m pretty sure MW 2019 is a soft reboot of the series but it is unclear.

I think there are two reasons for making Call of Duty MW series again: 1. For fans:The game company wanted to give the MW fans their game with those iconic characters again. 2. For Black OPS: If anyone had played Black OPS, then he or she will know there was a mission where we see what was the past of Farah and in new MW series we see Farah in action. So they had to make a game for that character. So I think this was the only option for them.

Okay so uh couple things. 1: price launched the nuke himself and u can even hear him say “good” when it gets launched in game 2: shepherd doesn’t use an EMP on the nuke, when a nuclear weapon detonates in upper atmosphere or low orbit like in game, it creates an EMP. That’s why price launched it. To kinda even the odds between the Russian invasion and the struggling US army, giving them a chance to mount a better counter attack to the Russians.

The L King yes. If u turn on subtitles it confirms it as “good”. He either launched them himself, or he let them launch having altered them to detonate in the atmosphere. Either way, price is responsible for that missile launching in order to knock out the Russians mechanical superiority on the American front. He even talks about this in the loading screen, stating that to stop a forest fire u start a second fire in order to suck away the oxygen, snuff the flame. The nuke WAS that second fire.
