This is an interesting theory, but I have a small doubt about it. Check the moon in game. It's a stock art of our moon. If it's our moon, in theory it's really our planet. As for why the geography looks nothing like a place on our map, tectonic plates are always moving, and that will eventually reshape the planet again. Hell, Africa's expected to split in half according to scientists that study this kind of thing. So, I expect the timeline to be in the VERY distant future.

Would be an interesting challenge to make a "Free Pal Alliance" run, where you follow their comandments. Probably only having the pals you rescue from the syndicate's cages, since they join you voluntarily. Edit: Alright since the thread is getting long, i'll summarize what rules we are getting so far: 1- Thou must not eat pals: This one would be easy, just eat berries and then move to wheat and other things you can plant or get from ranch (except eggs) 2- Thou must not overwork pals: This one is hard because the game glitches out a lot and pals go hungry or get hurt for no reason, so i think we could let it as simply not increasing the workload with the thing to supervise them. Besides that, just always prioritize having the best beds available and hot tubs and whatnot, anything that can make the pals more confortable. 3- Thou must not abuse pals: This is probably the most important one, as to capture a pal could be considered abuse. As such, the only way to get pals should be to rescue them from cages or hatch them from eggs. Raids should be turned off so you don't have to fight them by force. The only exception would be to be able to fight the tower bosses, otherwise this challenge wouldn't have any objective (Except for Lily since of course, she's the leader of the Free Pal Alliance). This also would give you one way to get ancient civilization parts that you need to build the incubators. The reasoning here is that you are fighting them to free the pals under the tower bosses control. (I know it dosn't exactly apply as you are definetly beating them up, but it'll have to do, or there wouldn't be much point for this challenge run). Capturing humans is allowed fully tho. 4- Thou must not use pals for experiments. (This one is simple enough, don't synthesize them and whatnot. If you want to get more strict with the run, you can also write off breeding, as selective breeding could be consider an experiment) 5- Thou must risk thy lives to protect pals. (basically, always go fight anyone that's attacking pals (even if its ironically some of the Free Pals Alliance members, lol, we'll call them renegades or sth)

So as far as we know, the story probably isn’t finished yet as we are still on version 0.1 of early access but I think we can say that this is like amazon’s “the boys” but with pokemon. Like, what would happen realistically if pokemon were real? Just throw in another faction thats fully commercialized and corporate and involved with the exploitation of pals for profits and there we go. :)

I think the "winged, four-legged pal" project is a reference to the fact Smaug was changed into a Wyvern for the Hobbit movie. It was talked abut in interviews how the six-limbed dragon would have looked cutesy, according to the people who decided to change from Tolkien's description. In this context it would seem that Palworld wants to say something about genetically engineering the six-limbed monster that is a far cry from just evolving your front legs into wings. Combine that with the concept of not respecting the adapted work, going against God by making abominations.

You CAN reach the tree. You just need to use a glitch to go under the barrier and you can set up a base there even once you make it. The area around the tree is a large flat plain full of only grass. If a base is set up there, you can just teleport straight to it if you want and of course, it is unraidable, despite not being up a mountain or having cliff walls to protect you, as no Pals or other mobs spawn near the world tree.

I'm really not a fan of storytelling through collectibles, so thanks for the summary. This world building has huge potential that I hope we get to explore as the game becomes more and more complete. I'm particularly interested in the factions, my favorite being the FPA, and I'd love nothing more than to have some kind of system where you could become allies with certain leaders rather than being hostile to every organization on the archipelago. Maybe even something like Fallout where your decisions and allegiances can lead to different endings. Love this game so much already, so I've got high hopes for its future!

Especially since their whole identity is based on flawed logic. Plants don't feel pain, so it's humane to eat them and spare animals. Ever get a whiff of fresh cut grass? She just wants to chill in a tower all day with grizzbot and run her poaching operation. Which isn't the best, but least she's not sadistically evil or so far up her own ass she doesn't notice what's going on like some of the other tower bosses can be. One could argue lily is better morally but I think she a bit crazy, plus shes the head of a powerful organization to protect pals that doesn't protect pals. She isn't even control of her organization. She's the girl failure to Zoe's girl boss. Of course that isn't to say Zoe is perfect either. I mean she probably still is a little bit evil or at least complacent in what her group does. But least she's open and knowledgeable of it.

Its interesting that none of the characters are exactly great people and have all caused much harm to pals whether directly or indirectly. This is what makes the freedom of playstyle so great for the game because you can ether choose to continue the cycle of suffering for the pals or become the "chosen one" who understands and lives along side them in perfect harmony.

I wonder if pal world was originally brought down by pal and human intermingling essentially creating more humanoid pals with worst qualities of human eventually enslaving and bringing civilization to and end and maybe some the ruins we see. Because it kinda seem like the Anubis were worshipped at some point in time, with ruins with Anubis statue around the island so at some point they had to been religious or somewhat a civilization and not just somewhat primitive creatures.

Robinquill's dex entry discusses humans and pals diverging ages oago. With the information presented in this vid, does that mean they only diverged in the sense of the bonds being torn, or is it, like I originally suspected, A case where there is some evolutionary divergence like in a certain other franchise that will not be mentioned for the sake of how while there valid argument to be made this game is still fun and has merit?

My personal theory is that the ancient civilization is somewhat close to present day people, who found the palworld islands and inhabited them, but then something bad happened which caused their relations to fall apart and the human population to disappear from the islands. The supernatural protective force the castaway talks about could be what is hiding the islands, and the pals are intentionally doing so in order to not have the outside world know they and the islands exist, protecting the islands and pals by not having the catastrophic events repeat again. The same supernatural force I presume also prevents anyone who ends up on the island (castaway/player/npcs) from ever escaping. Again, so that word of pals' existence cannot get out to humanity.

Fun fact: You can fly over the top of the red barrier to the tree island, but there's a second invisible barrier that goes to the map ceiling further in that I was unable to get past. I was able to land on the island shore, but unable to get to the base of the tree.

Go level up and actually have a team. You can’t just beat a boss because you challenged it and decided to exploit it then complain. Get you some good leveled pals and they’ll do the work and level yourself
