if you think about it,christian also really loved patty.he just got a bit obsessed like joe from the series you.he's a guy with good intentions but bad outcomes but,tbh i do like brick and patty together better. when i started watching the series and patty started dating christian,i was kinda mad and wanted them to break up but at the same time, i thought they were kinda cute.i also said to myself that brick is kind and a gentleman and he and patty would last in the long run, i even saw them getting married and having kids maybe in the future but christian,he and patty would be the kind of couple who would do thrilling things and have fun but know that it wouldnt last. when christian thought patty was pregnant, he used her as an excuse to try and get out of going to military school but if this situation was with brick,brick would be a gentleman and talk patty through the options and make her comfortable

Hopefully theres a season 2 as i think what happened with Christian will help change Patty into a better person and i like the idea of Brick asking her out again and giving her a 2nd chance although Patty was selfish this season her POV of fat shaming and feeling insecure was the main reason and i think thats what people should look at instead of the whole controversy i believe this show in a way helps people see that yeah you can get revenge but there are conseqences and i also think it helps say if you want to change change because you can do it if you try hard enough ☺

Let me be honest, this is just my opinion. You can obviously disagree but if you wanna debate do it properly please. From my POV this series could have still followed the same cliches but gone and use them completly different and have really good show. Fat girl gone thin is the typical ugly betty series, or the ugly duckling turning into the prettiest swan. Instead, besides doing all that the storie over all doesnt make any sense. Its like they wrote down in small pieces of paper different scenes or scenarios but them in a box, shoke it like mad and picked out randomly what is gonna happen on each episode. Makes me wonder, what in the heck did I just watch? In the whole season, those 12 chapters happened really fast and besides being cringy and stupid... it was disappointing to see that nowdays teen drama or series over all are not worth it. This for me was a total waste of time like "famous in love". I really hope I can find some series that show some serious life problems. Still have comedy, tragedy, drama, history... I know its fiction, but to me? This is like a cringy webtoon turned into a series.
