Having just finished the podcast, I am of the opinion that a future episode of Kino's Twin Peaks review series will surely reveal that the lemonade stand, via the Downward Spiral, jettisoned Rusty into the Black Lodge. This creates the paradox that Rusty's fate could initially be perceived as Kino's fault but after further review and in retrospect is deemed to be the fault of Emp due to his innate Spownward Diral resonance. The algorithm speaking to Rusty over his walkie throughout the lemonade stand saga in fact attempted to hijack Rusty's stream and destroy him but he was replaced with a tulpa at the last second (as the blade fell) and jettisoned to the Black Lodge. Said tulpa was conjured by an egregore-like collection of thoughts and willpower that originated from Rusty's viewers and manifested within the lemonade stand due to the ritualistic energies emanating from Rusty's lyrics as well as engagement from viewers who bore witness to the creation of the lemonade stand. The message to Kino presented by Emp that appears to be nothing but vitriol towards Kino may deceive most viewers but it is in fact a veiled message regarding the whereabout of Rusty's caged spirit (which lives on, within the Black Lodge) while also hinting that Kino's Twin Peaks review series will provide some as of yet unknown means of bringing about Rusty's freedom (because notice that in the message he mentions Kino's "trash" opinions of movies, but not his opinions regarding TV series like Twin Peaks). Furthermore, this emphasis on regretting the day that he let Kino into his house (when there were multiple days that this occurred) may have some as of yet unknown deeper meaning regarding Rusty's perception of time (there is apparently a line in Twin Peaks "It is in our house now" but this could be pure coincidence) or perhaps relate to his current location within the Black Lodge. That being said regardless of these implications when it comes to Rusty's disappearance, we still don't know Emp's whereabouts during the night in question.
