Very cool video Retson! I am loving this series. It's also worth noting for those who didn't know, the Funk brothers later sold flathead six and flathead V8 conversions for the Ford N-series tractors.

I had a friend who owned a Funk B-85, he and his wife would fly it to Coffeeville KS every year for the Funk fly-in. Met the Funk brothers one time when they came to San Diego to see my friend. They were joking that the John Deere company wanted to buy their company because of the farm equipment they made but balked when the lawyers found out that they had made airplanes and there were still a bunch out there flying. the airplane flies nice, a stall is a nose drop followed by a mush downward, the brothers did their homework.

Thanks for the comment, that must have been so exciting. I read somewhere that Funk was bought out by John Deere, later renamed to John Deere Coffeyville Works but couldn't find any concrete information on it. What a trip!
