Spawning near a village is not impossible, but I knew it was fake when I saw the portal because 1. The Netherack the portal sits on should have been bigger 2. Some portals have Stone Brick and Iron Railings in the construction 3. Loot in the chest and 4. Nether Portal's vary by size.

Now that I think about it my current world would have been the godliest speed run, you spawn about 90 blocks from a village, ruined portal about 130 away from the village, piglins spawn almost next to the portal, and the nether fortress was 500 blocks away. Hardest part was the end portal but it was like 800 away from the village and it was right under another village.

This might sound fake. But one time I spawned near a village and what was right next to it? The stronghold. Couldn’t find the nether portal though. Minecraft got really boring for me so I stopped playing and deleted the server . The only people who ever witnessed my island was a group of 8th graders in a group club called “Minecraft Club” they don’t have the club anymore because it go chaotic and tons of arguments but tbh I kinda miss the people I played with.
