About the first speedrunner: when he walks through walls, at some points, we can see that the GUI is a bit too... rough around the edges. That makes me come to the conclusion that he just cut the GUI out in an editing program, then put it over him going spectator and flying through walls. Simple as anything in this darn world.

funfact, its not impossible to find a lit ruined portal! i have personally found one in a single player world. i made my own netherportal at my base and was just doing some exploring and mining when i found weirdly shaped trenches and also torches. Followed it and it led to a lit portal in the middle of nowhere. Appears that a ruined portal had spawned as a lit portal

The portal needs 12 eyes, and the speedrunner had 11 eyes - the 2 eyes already in portal. 13-12 = 1 which make sense that he had 1 eye after the portal
