My son came up with a much funnier grab the ankles prank. He would sneak up behind me while I was at my computer desk, crawl up under the back of my chair and grab both my ankles with all his might. This would cause me to jump so wildly that I would hit my knees on the desk and lift it off the ground by at least a foot. That was funny even though I was the recipient.

One of my best scares was when I was a kid and I waited by the garage door for a friend of mine to come in. I couldn’t decide whether or not I should scream, jump out and grab him, I didn’t know what to do and by this time he was almost all the way through the door. In a panic all I could manage was a low “buhhhhhhh” sound which caused one of the funniest backward hopping, karate chopping, talking in tongues reaction I have ever seen. He said the sound was so out of left field that it was way worse than a scream.
