Before you put the plywood skins on the fuselage, predrill the two-bottom hole for the joystick mount in the bottom cross braces. You may want to fill the open space between the two bottom cross braces as well. This will give the bolts something to squeeze against. Once these bolts are in, you can't get to them after the front floor is in place, forward of the main spar. If you are going to use the plans way of mounting the gas tank, predrill the 4 holes in the vertical braces as well. They should all be 3/16-inch holes. It's easier to do now, before skinning the fuselage.

@Dynodon64 sounds like a plan to me I'm prolly going to mount the control hardware as well before I skin it seeing as I'm still waiting on plywood anyway.
