I was a futurist and didn't even have a degree. Just a bunch of alcohol. "But it allowed me to see the multiple futures"

Exactly, it did seem kinda laughable. On top of that, nothing he said was particularly insightful. If you're in STEM you'll have already heard everything he said for the past few years now.

I’m not worried about a.I being hostile but a) if we create sentient machines we immediately have a moral/ethical responsibility towards them. b) even if they don’t want to get rid of us there are several downsides to making ourselves intellectually obsolete.

10) Can a high sophisticated AI /Country communicate with a stone age country (low level AI) (with nuclear war heads)?

Hysterical. I was curious if I could find one of these old-school 'futurists' still talking about the future as if the 'background' of environmental collapse didn't exust or matter. I wasn't disappointed. Please, sir...live long and prosper' on whatever planet you come from because it certainly isn't Earth!

I'm curious to know how many kids people would choose to have in a 100 year lifespan if they were given a choice and technology allowed us to pre program our fertility at a young age. I think its very important to study this question to make accurate future population predictions and future technology predictions: Question: If given the choice would you want to pre program your fertility at age 18 and if so how many kids would you choose to have if you knew you would live to 100 years of age? Answers Below Please

-is a futurist -sees no reason why an ai would want to get rid of human beings I think a raccoon on meth could find a reason or two why an ai would want that.

1) First Thing is who has the most sophisticated AI and therefore most Power as person again as a person. (Its automatic a Dictatorship) Putin says that whoever reaches a breakthrough in developing artificial intelligence will come to dominate the world. ) 2) You cant democratize AI (open AI is nuts) 3)Neuralink is nuts 4) An intelligent machine will always dominate - via interaction with human (trick him) - and would kill the developer 5) you will never know who has the most advanced AI (by country- Ufos China?) 6) You have the problem that a country with the most dangerous AI (no value set for the machine - less boundaries (rules) will short term win and all will loose. If they dont do it they will loose too. Argument others maybe will do it. 7)you probably will have mayor breakthrough in science -new physics (Relativity theory Number 1000) 8)the world gets much 1000 faster (not good) 9)Communication problems - plus Tec- especially with the nuclear war heads (see number8) Ted Kaczynski is right but how to convince the presidents of all countries that is better for their interest to give me all the power??? 9) Elon is really afraid of AI and Kasparov not (he thinks they can only work in there boundaries act not as real intelligent. Amen

disagree strong, solving disease death would have many positive benefits. Nobody should get decide that someone has to die, which is effectively what he's saying. It was natural to die of small pox and that's in the past, hopefully for good. The challenges that he brings up around indefinite healthspan are real challenges but they're not reasons to stop pursing longer, healthier lives.
