You have built up a large and loyal audience by now I think and many would be totally happy seeing videos that are far less time consuming for you to make. You are so interesting to listen to and to just watch while you're working on your art or doing your thing in Paris. Maybe by now, making such videos demand much less editing time

You'd be a great teacher! I've had teachers who'd try to impose their style/technique and I know you'd be the opposite, trying to understand the other and helping them the way they need. I loved how you explained the materials you are using in this video as well. You should definitely do more of these casual chats/art making videos. Your paintings are amazing, and I know it will take you very far even if you stop content creation. Btw, the Van Gogh exhibition in Orsay and the Picasso drawing exhib at pompidou might be inspiring for you, if you haven't checked them out yet!

This year was transformational. I am still trying to figure out if it is for better or worse. I cut down to part time after a significant breakdown, and am still in school for sociology. I keep thinking I want to do more art classes. Time will tell, I suppose. I just wish I could take care of my mental health and work without burning out. I personally love this style of video. It feels like "parallel play", in the sense that I feel like I can work on my own art while you work on yours. It's motivating. Much love, Shayna. ❤

Love you Shayna 💗💗 and ugh yes I struggle w imposter syndrome sometimes. The way I combat this is by acknowledging that me doing this 'awkward' thing leads to other ppl also feeling free to do it. Which eventually i find more valuable than my own internal shame... But its still a slippery slope

I love your impromptu videos, I think it’s the foundation of building a community since many of us may feel isolated and disconnected at times. I also grab a hot cup o’ coffee or tea and sit down to listen to your informal, unplanned chats. Your authenticity comes through loud and clear (iykyk) 😅😉. I would also love to see more of your new Paris apartment and the basics of a day spent there (DITL-style). Loved this video. I am nearing 40 and you have helped me accept the fact that I am an artist and that my art is good and worthy. One idea in case you haven’t considered it yet - I would absolutely pay to take a class from you on Skillshare. I know art grants are a hard way to generate revenue and maybe Skillshare could be another way to fund your art. I loved hearing about your process, and as someone that doesn’t have a formal art education, I love when you share about your approach to your work and the materials.
