Reflections from around a borderless world.
Nate Mook joined “What Took You So Long?” in 2012 after working for TED and spending his earlier career as an entrepreneur in the technology and software industries. He has recently led film productions in Somalia, Haiti, Colombia, Panama, Uganda, Kenya, Iraq, and Liberia, working with clients such as USAID, UNDP, and the World Bank, along with smaller NGOs. Nate has traveled throughout Africa with President Clinton, providing video production work for the Clinton Foundation, and was selected as a Gates Foundation “Change Hero”. Nate also produces the renowned TEDxMidAtlantic conference in Washington, DC, which partners with PBS, and has featured speakers including Paula Kerger, Gen. Colin Powell and Steve Case.
Steve helped design creative technology solutions for developing countries throughout eastern Europe, the Middle East, and sub-Saharan Africa at Johnson & Johnson.
This international work stemmed directly from Steve's experiences in India, Kenya, Morocco, and Hungary as part of the Engineering Leadership Development Minor (ELDM) and the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship (HESE) programs at Penn State.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

interesting!! I liked this Talk but cannot agree with all what they have said. The waiting at Boarders is just a Man made problem, can you imagine waiting at Heathrow Airport while the Boarder Security Guard plays with his Dog with your Football for an hour? this would not be acceptable because ppol have the right to complain so if they had any ball's they would off made a complain and maybe just maybe that would set of a chain reaction at the Boarder's that time is money. I go back to having Doors Fences and Alarms fitted to our houses or home whichever you call it, this is done to prevent just anyone from coming into your home and taking your resources or increasing the number off ppol in your home putting a strain on your budget, so just has we you have these Doors and Fences acting has our personal Boarder's Countries should have and continue to have Doors and Fences commonly known has Boarders to protect its citizen's and non - citizens just like how you protect your family I also think that Boarder Security should just be managed better has in lessening the time at them because I know we all do not want 1000's off Pedophiles just walking through your Door into our Children's Bedrooms do we now?????
