Something I really miss from Cod was that feeling of feeling like just another expendable soldier. While yes we have missions where we work alongside others, it feels a lot more character focused rather than mission focused. MW 2019 is a good example. We have these character moments like Alex and Farah and it’s great, but it’s less about these group of soldiers fighting for a cause greater than themselves and instead going through these character arcs. You can’t swap out any of the characters mentioned. It has to be Farah and it has to be Alex In the classic trilogy, a lot of the important things we do as Roach, Ramirez or Jackson feel more incidental. Like we’re being ordered to take the objective not because we’re the main character but because obviously as a soldier, your needed for that. Main point being in older Cod, it more or less didn’t matter who you were. You could step into the boots of anyone else, and the story doesn’t really change. We’re just seeing events unfold from this specific person at the moment. And I suppose that highlights Cod’s transition from originally starting as a game meant to honor veterans to now an action blockbuster with over the top stories which MW2 started for better or worse.

The same way CoD has isolated the players in MP is what they’re doing in the campaign. I don’t mind a solo mission here and there but the team feeling of the campaign, going out on OPS doesn’t feel good like the OGs did.

@@BranWolfYT I Didn’t feel like I was the legendary TF141 at all from the OG CoD, or a secretive Black Ops team hunting SERIOUS threats to the US much either. Brainwashing doesn’t make me worry much.

My Idea for a COD with Open Combat Missions, I know a WWII COD Game probably won't happen for a very long time after the failure of Vanguard. But I want a COD Game that's a spiritual successor to Medal Of Honor:Airbourne. Where you jump out of the plane with a parachute regiment. It make sense as well for Warzone, and they need to make the open world feel more "Alive" like Medal Of Honor Airborne did. With advanced AI(But no AI Voice Acting) and several missions. Including the Gothic Line(Which my late uncle Jack actually served in WWII as a soldier and survived a POW Camp), Operation Husky and D-Day. It would probably never happen because Vanguard proved that WWII was an oversaturated setting.

@@vicmwaf Yep. Because of Trend Chasing, they didn't need to be Modern like Modern Warfare, Battlefield was already going to fill that gap for EA. Although I must admit it was more realistic than Battlefield 3 because they tried the "Gritty Reboot" approach 9 years before COD did.

I wasn’t necessarily a fan of either open combat/ world missions. However, I did prefer BO6’s style better. I much preferred the bigger map and having the freedom to roam basically wherever and essentially pick and choose whether or not you want to explore those objectives, side objectives or just stick with the linear route.

I do not like Open-Combat Missions. I want missions like the Bog, War Pig, Shock and Awe, The Ultimatum, Charlie Don't Surf.

To be fair I like this cod a hell of alot more, The promo leading up to the game was amazing, I genuinely loved the campaign and the missions, I was always a fan of CW zombies so an improved version CWZ was always gonna pass for me (also that new citidel map looks sick) Multiplayer While still influenced by WZ (E.G some of the maps are just part of waezone locations) is honestly better than warzone in its current state because atleast I Can run bo6 without it crashing unlike warzone. It's a honest 7 pushing 8 out of 10 for me, only downside is that when activision posts a good game we already know 2 shit games follow 😂

All for putting in greater variety of gameplay, but COD has been good as at putting out linear based stories before, and there’s nothing stopping them from pulling that off again.

They didn’t touch a hair on her. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got her Burger King or something. She doesn’t connect to mwiii either.
