Governments may not be dealing with global warming as they should, but many farmers are doing an incredible job of switching to *regenerative agriculture,* which stores carbon in the soi-where it used to be. Keeping the soil covered with plants at all times and allowing cows and sheep to graze moving in an orderly fashion similar to how they would have in the wild before domestication, all this creates soil and plants that are a carbon sink. This gives me hope more than what politicians might try to do. It's very grass-roots-literally! This may be the key to saving our planet from the effects of greenhouse gasses, which include not only CO2 but also water vapor.

It would be helpful to define the word “Democracy” ...

He explains the pillars and characteristics of a mature democracy and how they work throughout the video. Democracy may have various forms throughout the world, but the forms will have the pillars and characteristics that he discusses.

Think there is a issue which the essay I are linked to needs further meditation. the requirements for the procedure of democracy and republican forms of democracy are questions of requirements. the absence of political parties is worthy of noting. But the causal connection of liberty and democracy should have further consideration. the limits are internal ones of self restraint based on the sources for the inspiration of the individual to trust a higher power for guidance. right now there is a a absence in octets of “trust” in my opinion. So the only thing we can trust is our own powers of unrestraint. Anything that appears to restrain our freedom is seen as bad, harmful. In such a condition there will always be agents who enter the democratic process with an agenda of unrestrained freedom to express unlimited desires, unrestrained desires. These exceed the responsible boundaries which are mentioned in the essay. “Responsible” menas some form of “moderation”. Therefore an issue of distrust in society has to be dealt with concurrently. , It seems to me that the compliment of building trust is the degree that truthfulness is thought of first, as a foundation. Before we can deal with he distrust we have for other’s motives and the patience to work through problems, the participants have to make a commitment to truthfulness as the foundation for everything else in the democratic process. Outside of the personal, internal meditation of our soul, in the society the issue of education is also important. education is what will feed the democratic system so that mistakes of individual discovery of the consequences of excess are not repeated again and again with a high generation.

SuperLuminal Man There is no definition of democracy that is useful in the real world. Its etymology suggests "rule by people", which seems pretty straightforward, but the problem arises in how that is effected. The Greeks saw it as a system based on the responsibility of all citizens to participate in the formulation and adoption of policies. Well, not all citizens - women, children, and slaves were excluded. Not quite what we call democratic today. In a small city (which Athens was at the time) this may have been workable. But in a nation the size of Russia, with a great diversity of cultures separated by vast distances, it is useless. Even the common definition - majority rule - causes consternation among those who are concerned with minority rights. As the world globalizes, perhaps the differences among minorities will lessen, but not entirely. This was why Shoghi Effendi stressed that the Baha'i Administrative Order was not compatible with any form of government as they all have limitations. One of their main limitations is that they are all based on some man-made ideology, whereas it is divine in origin. Also, it will be based on the spiritualization of the human race so it will be organic and flexible, and not be controlled by definitions. That's how I see it, anyway.

I think you cannot take the word -democracy- in your mouth if equality -equity -and justice for all are not its major ingredients. Until then...democracy is an ideal

Correlation does not equal causation. I do not see why higher standards of living , higher life expectancy, lack of hunger etc in some countries should automatically be attributed to democracy. These rich countries are mainly those countries that subjugated most other parts of the world for centuries, engaged in industrial scale enslavement of others, expropriated resources from other parts of the world and colonialised less stronger countries. These facts cannot be ignored when talking about generational wealth these "mature" Democracies have accumulated over the centuries. There is no scientific evidence to show a country becomes "rich" after adoption of democracy. Countries in Africa are living experiment for this.
