The future of DJI in the U.S

Thanks for keeping us posted. I wish there was a more effective way of getting our voices out there. Our emails just get an automated response. It's too bad We can't get news coverage from the Commercial UAV event. Our group needs more media coverage.

The problem Skydio ( Autel as well ) is supply chain. The smaller companies ( or ones such as Skydio that just seemed to be testing the market ) just can’t get the parts in sufficient quantities. They buy parts by a few thousand at a time. DHI buys them buys the 100 of thousands. For USA combines to compete there would have to creat a market and market demand to make it a finically good move. It just won’t and happen. During the courting the Clinton years Congress decided it was a good idea to move manufacturing to China to build a market for American goods. They gave companies tax breaks to move operations to China ( little known fact they still do. ) It all back fired. There is no evidence that China is using drone info. Even if true, what info can they get that a balloon or satellite cannot? Drone videography is the only thing that keeps my photography/videography afloat. Remove one leg from my 3 legged chair and the business is dead.

Congress should be voting on a bill to support our drone industry by subsidizing manufacturers to build parts here. Taking away our access to the best electronics doesn't help us. KZbinrs will need to leave the country to review a toy.

Ken.....Quite the Rant, but so true. Hope those that own a DJI drone can weather the storm. Might be a good idea to stock up on accessories. If the DJI ban does go int effect, who knows how DJI/China will react 🤔.

They have a few democrats like Mark Warner! I talked to ppl in his office and I was told that we will have to buy from skydio, parrot drones or any other American drone manufacturer other than dji! But I’m gonna still buy my matrice 30T and use my air2s until I can’t fly it at all! Also I blame china’s government for the crap going on in the pacific! That gave them the cheap shot on DJI!
