At the 31 minute mark you guys talk about permission and getting in reps. I'm African-American. And I don't have to explain the level of access afforded us in many industries. But I explain to anyone who will listen that this technology is removing the gatekeepers. It is now possible to tell the stories, prwctice, learn, grow, and brand without having to wait for someone to give the green light.

I love that so much. Down with ivory towers. Let’s get everyone into the world of storytelling! 🔥 Best of luck with everything friend. :)

I've seen a video "essay" from a hardcore gatekeeper criticizing curious refuge and it just came across as a priviledged whiny baby tantrum. 🤣 Hollywood really has a chance to innovate here and they're not even paying attention. 🤦🏽

Tim's my buddy! Def started out by watching people like Corridor who put me on to Blender then eventually AI that's when I came across Tim's channel a while back and I've known him ever since. Great guy, very insightful and talented (I wanna jam with him someday hah). Been watching your channel for a while as well, thanks for all you do for our AI and art communities alike. Keep dropping dopeness and never stop crushing it!!!

I would also like to add that jumping into this industry now should be an option no matter your experience. Like, I'd just been doing gig jobs, and six months ago, came across a post in a forum about a job that pays well for "smart people," starting at $20/hour, for data annotation and training AI. I applied, got accepted, and am now making $25+/hour with room to make more. Yet, I have no degrees, and my last gig was editing video captions. But now I'm able to roll out of bed, drink some coffee, and while in my pajamas, do some data annotation and get paid $25 per hour for training AI? This is like the dream time to get in, if you ask me.

Learning generative AI can provide you with a competitive advantage and job security. In my experience working for a large corporation with about 100,000 employees, less than 1% are currently trying to learn about generative AI. So, it's definitely not too late to start.

100%! Make it up and create the job you want. I come from an animation VFX background. I'm a art director now and I've been using Ai for 2 years and have managed to now use it everyday with my work. Its been a dream.

I want more!!! It's hard though, creating my scene for the T2 remake took weeks, I have my work cut out for me when it comes to the mini series, between live action, vfx, AI, and other editing is gonna be a hell of a job. Shoot writing it even with the help of AI hasn't been an easy task either. But it's inspiring to watch stuff like this I can't wait to finish. I may have to enlist some help to finish if I wanna get it done by Fall but we'll see. Big shout out to Dave Clark, we've opened the door with T2 Remake and Another for folks to start telling their stories. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! While I'm creating Spider Gates Cemetery, I'm gonna work on Little Miss Adventures Diary of Yumi Hirokima which will be a cartoon of one of my favorite consistent characters Yumi Hirokima! Love you all, keep creating, and keep crushing it! LFG!!!

We must remember AI is a tool. Just as a pen is a tool for writing. How can AI boost or help the creative / storytelling process? Script tools I've tried are still basic. Do you have examples of feature films (90 minutes+) made with AI or is the focus currently short animations?
@curiousrefuge11 ай бұрын
Correct, AI tools are simply that - tools. As these tools get more developed and widely used - it will be the content with human emotion and good storytelling that will rise to the top. However, this could be said about any content available today too! I think we are still quite early to have any example of 90+ minute feature films made with Generative AI so I'm not sure I can point you anything that long. However, feel free to check out a diverse range of content in our gallery at our website!

Great Conversation!! We are def a ways or way away from leveling the playing field. - Not until we can get consistency in characters and set and control over our animation, With that said in a couple of months we could suddenly find some of these problems solved.
@curiousrefuge11 ай бұрын
It's true - consistency has been a major problem across so many of these tools. However, the tools are getting better and better and getting a consistent style is basically already here - next up - consistent characters from different angles. The future is bright :)

I'm surprised by their take on AI music. I feel SunoAI as one example, that is far far ahead of the best video AI. The songs are straight up bangers that people would actually listen to. I don't think video is there yet. Maybe AI animated could be but it would require the time put in to create a full anime movie. Decent songs can be made fairly easily.
@TheoreticallyMedia11 ай бұрын
Oh, don't get me wrong, Suno is nothing short of a miracle! I just think there's this area of midrange fuzziness present in the output that is kind of hard to dial out. To tell you the truth, I think as it is, it's amazing for using it as a crate dug vinyl sample-- I did a whole video on it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGrSkmaPf5WNrLc But when you start ripping the stems of AI Music, you'll quickly see that there's a lot of dustiness there. Which, again: In some cases works really well! All that said, that will be dialed out by early 2024. Yeah, music will to full production range before video for sure.

A prompt engineer isn’t trying to figure out anything. They know exactly what the output needs to be.
@stylezmorales11 ай бұрын
they also know how to push the limitations of the generative AI platforms. Being an artist first, I use my knowledge of everything I know about art and use it to influence how I prompt the various AI tools I use and try to find a way to mesh it with my other traditional art tools. From composition to camera terms to 3D terms I use it all. Prompt engineering is much involved than just spamming the bot with tons of prompts hoping for good results.

As said in THE INCREDIBLES, if everyone is special, no one is special. AI is making every user special. And soon all people will be users. And all will be special. And then no one…
@TheoreticallyMedia11 ай бұрын
I don't think it's a matter of being special or not special. To be honest, I think everyone IS special. These AI tools simply allow people to manifest their unique stories, or visualize something that's been locked in their heads, or create that song they've always wanted to. Now, if that person has learned additionally production skills, they'll be able to elevate that material as well.
