Amazing how much tech overestimates the advancement of literally everything. No more journalists? Losing 80% of software engineers. Within 18mos? 😂. They saw GPT do some tricks and absolutely lost their minds.

I would contest something Tian said, which is "these models don't come up with anything that's new". that may be strictly true, but I would contend that much of what matters in life is synthesizing knowledge, finding correlations between facts, and LLM's are great at that.

I find it funny that Emma says that one situation where AI can help people is by simulating a situation where you can give negative feedback at work. But first you need a job before you can actually give feedback to someone

If all the major companies are laying off 80% of the engineers, what are the engineers going to do? Who's going to be hiring?

There is no reason for college anymore..what can a professor teach you that AI can not do?? This will be a fast , sharp turn in the educational system. The whole world will shift DRAMATICALLY in the next 5-10 years

It was obvious that if you had a digital genius everything would change. Now we do.

Damn, if we will have such a deflation in prices in sectors touching AI, cause prices will decrease if cost are decreased, so we will all profit from it globally? Yes individuals, even groups will suffer, but in general society will thrive
@KobeIsG.O.A.T Жыл бұрын
I don't think so. The percentages will not add up for us to profit from what you are describing. This is not a good thing I don't think. Idk, I think we have about 10 years before AI is dug in too deep for us to recover. I hope I'm wrong

@@KobeIsG.O.A.T but why? Imagine a World where ai only affects coders. Yeah, it's bad for coders, a lot of them won't be needed anymore. But for the rest it's vert good, they have a lot of cheap software. So a cost to make a site for exemple decreases.

@@KobeIsG.O.A.T Also, what do you mean by dug in to deep?
