I'm not a fan of Subscription Services. This may be the first time in over 10 years I will sit out this new update. When you're subscription is finished you have nothing unless you renew,

I will not be joining the subscription option. Hopefully Logos 10 will remain viable for a long time considering the money spent.

Been using Logos for a good few years now. The new features and the new subscription model for me are both excellent. It feels like I'm getting more now for my money, and I'm happy Logos is constantly being upgraded so I'm remaining on the cutting edge of features, which for the most part are very useful. No issue with the subscription mode.

You can start with a free version and build from there. I started using version 1 back in 1992 and, over the years have built a library of close to 9000 books.

The future of all technology is AI and AGI. We as the church must stay ahead to be relevant in how we communicate and study the gospel. The logos team has a big task ahead of them. So let's keep them in prayer.

Just spoken to someone from sales and now I understand the change! The Platforms e.g. Logos 10 will move to subscription, but the books and other resources that I have bought and will buy continue to be mine and will continue be purchased individually. The books are not coming under the subscription model.

How will it affect those of us that just bought the Gold package this week?

Hi! You'll have ongoing access to Logos 10 whether you choose to subscribe or not. Plus, there will be extra subscription savings for L10 owners!

I'm actually not against the subscription model depending of course cost and what each level provides. And that's where the frustration sets in for me. I'm very new to Logos and I can't find any detailed information on the website about what the subscription model levels will offer. So far just some general explanations but nothing really laid out to compare the three levels. If there is please share it.....

I do not like subscription models. What makes Logos subscription worse in my book is the fact that when users were asked about this last year, people's vote was very, very clear: the majority does not want it. And despite user votum, there we have it: Logos subscriptions coming right at y'all.

Well done. Enjoyed seeing Bill's heart to serve Christ's body. (And good job as usual, Kristen!)

Using AI for summarization and enhanced search capability is well worth the subscription cost.

Trusting the data. Knowing where it comes from. Logos AI...I'm in.

I use AI in my photography software weekly when I process my photos. The AI processing goes to the Servers housed at the Software Firm, not on my Mac. That costs money, so, when they went to a Subscription Model, Adobe being the 1st, there was push back. But, when everyone understood the advantages and that they were not going to lose the ability of what they purchased, whether they purchased a Subscription of not, they were okay. With Logos, we are not losing the books or use of the software if we don't adopt a Subscription. I am giving it a 30-day Trial now and really haven't put it through its AI paces, so, for me, as a laymen in the pew, I may just continue using the old model. I need to see a list of the functions within the software that uses the AI Technology so that I can test it properly.

Subscription model? No thank you. Please rethink. Please never IPO, never get on the stock market... subscriptions are the worst way to go imo. I can understand to make it affordable for people but do not remove or increase the option for actually owning the software.

As a Logos user for over 25 years that has used Logos for both sermon prep and small group study prep, I too will not be subscribing. I own the L10 full feature set, and I have zero interest in the incentives of a subscription (A.I. features, rented books, slight discounts, mobile courses, etc.). Furthermore, to pay for a two-year subscription to receive keepable features under a Legacy Fallback License makes no sense considering that all of those keepable features aren't announced in advance, so I would be paying for what I don't know that I'll get, and I'm not going along with it. All you had to do was offer the subscriptions to those that want it and continue to offer the annual full feature upgrades to those that want it instead of pursuing a "get it all or get none of it" approach. Just terrible.

Logos is wonderful Bible software; however, I have never understood the model which charges an exorbitant amount for the advanced training (i.e., the old Morris Proctor seminars). If I have spent several thousand dollars for software, I shouldn't have to pay hundreds to learn how to use it. Logos would benefit its users by taking all of the Proctor seminars and making them freely available to their customers to get the most out of their software.

A good portion of the cost of Logos is the books that it takes to power Logos and your study. Books can get expensive, but the way Logos bundles the books makes them as affordable as you could get them.

Yeah that’s a no for me. I’m getting rid of subscriptions. Everything is a subscription now. No thank you. I guess Logos 10 was my last purchase.

Not a fan of subscription models and also not a fan of AI for Bible study. These are the type of things that can limit a Christian's access to the Bible and lead Christians astray during the tribulation. I think this is the wrong direction for Logos. I am now starting to think that the hundreds of dollars I have already invested into the product may have been better spent on a different study tool.
