A very important addition to version 1 is the ability to specify a background rectangle behind the caption text, and choose the color for that background. Why? Because no matter what color you set for the text, depending on the video over which you place the caption there can be a color conflict that makes the text unreadable. For example, captions over people wearing multi-colored clothes, or captions over outside scenes like big cities or landscapes. The background should default to black, and extend a few pixels beyond the text horizontally so the text does not look crowded in the background rectangle.
