Brother, if there is *ANY* way you can make it happen, *_teach those kids at home._* The school system is not designed to teach them what they need to know to be successful people, partners, and parents; only you can do that. It is a failure as a system, and a simple proof is that 1 in 7 North Americans is functionally illiterate and is unable to read and write well enough to deal with adult responsibilities. Oof. I encourage you to look up 'The Education Debates' by David Cayley. What I learned there opened my eyes and made me mourn that I didn't do more to protect and educate *_MY_* children.

I paint all my outdoor wood projects with *Titebond 3 Waterproof Wood Glue,* and then paint it with Porch Paint. It creates a very tough waterproof surface that lasts for many many years or decades.

for the feet you could make a set of resin inserts to ship out for those that dont deal with resin that way they could just hammer them into the pre drilled spots on the legs when they order the work horses from you

Hey Chris, LTNS, KZbin algorithms, combined with my short term memory problems, compliments of a brain injury. I'm very glad to see that your still rockin' this channel. Seeing you interacting with your kids on camera, is just priceless. I have two ladies living here with me. I've known the younger for almost 25 years, and her oldest sister, who is at the extreme top end of the Autism Spectrum, she also has severe brain damage from birth, and is a mute, she does not talk. She's 62 years old, and her doctors say that she has the IQ of an 18 month old. Is there any chance that you're going to sell these saw horses as a flat pack for those of us who are without a CNC?? I mean, I have had a CNC for about 3 years, but it's way too big for my shop. The footprint for it is 1500mm x 1500mm, and I have a rather small shop. This thing was one of those insomnia driven spur of the moment very late night purchases. I'm going through some legal issues, that are slowly and painfully dragging on and on. When (if ever 😒) this ends, I'm planning on selling my house, and moving where I have a bit more room to stretch out, until then, I cannot set up my CNC.

I’ve built saw horses using PT plywood for bracing gussets. 15 year plywood sounds good. From your build it must be better than most sheet goods at holding screws in the edge. Sheet goods usually suck at this! I see it done a lot and it raises questions. Without glue failure seems likely!

The file is a little bit different than what you saw in the video instead of just a butt joint for the angled pieces. It’s now a large box joint to give more traction with glue. Www.Aglimpseinside.Org It’s the first item on the homepage and you can see an exploded 3-D rendering of what I’m talking about if you click into the pictures of the file

Carpenter for over 40 years. One of the first things I would do when a carpenter came on a job was to have him build sawhorses . Depending on how well and fast it took to build them, figured into what I was going to pay them. For those who did not know how to build them, I had a plan for them to build from. Now, the ones built without plans, I found a lot of bad horses. But I also changed my plans on a few of them.

oh good god, i just googled to see if that plywood is available near me (UK), £215!!! for a sheet. I know UK is extortionate prices for wood generally (US prices for exotic wood is what we pay for our cheapest it seems) but i'll pass on paying that much for plywood aha

Does the whole project fit on one sheet of plywood. 1-1 or can you fit multiple on a sheet of plywood?
@AGlimpseInside
@AGlimpseInside 2 ай бұрын
Great question. I made this entire system out of 75% of one sheet of flowers. And that’s being very generous with my spacing. You can definitely get four complete sawhorses out of one sheet of plywood no problem, possibly five. Of course, the table top, you could change to any length you would like

@AGlimpseInside
@AGlimpseInside 2 ай бұрын
If you doubled up three layers for a dog hole, then yes, but I don’t recommend plywood for any type of dog holes as hardwoods like maple have proven to be the best option. And I will consider a flat pack option for sure. Just curious to know if people will actually pay what it would legitimately cost. Shouldn’t be too bad, but it’s something to definitely consider. Thanks again, buddy.

@AGlimpseInside
@AGlimpseInside 2 ай бұрын
It’s going to vary, depending on where you are in the country and the lumber store can control the retail price. Not sure where you are in the country, however in Northeast Florida, the price of Arnica products is along the same range as you would find Baltic birch. It’s really quality stuff and way better than anything you would find from Asia or South America.

After only a five minutes venture down the Google rabbithole I found that this particular company is owned by the Carlyle Group whose major shareholders include Black Rock, and Vanguard.
