It's nice to have playable side characters in Spyro 4. aswell as Ripto, Hunter, Elora and Bianca what if Moneybags, Zoe, Princess Ami, Gabriel the ice fairy, Gnasty Gnorc and The Mountain Goats Billy, Bobby and Pete could be playable in Spyro 4?

After listening to this and giving things some thought, I have a potential hypothesis of what a new "Spyro 4" could look like. On the topic of the Legends canon, my obvious question with a sequel is: what will the game designers do with Cynder? Cynder is potentially one of the most well-known Spyro characters, not only being in all Legends games (also playable in the third), but also received multiple Skylanders miniatures and got her backstory with Malefor addressed in both the comics and Netflix series. It seems like unless they do yet another reboot, I feel like Cynder will come back somehow. My story-based hypothesis, given the info in this video: - Spyro 4 could be a gestalt of Enter the Dragonfly and the Legends games, reintroducing Cynder and Malefor as antagonists. - Malefor will replace Red as a main antagonist. Red had relatively fewer appearances than Malefor and, coincidentally with Skylanders retcons, Malefor was depicted as an undead cyborg similar to Mecha Red. - Instead of the Chosen One story of Legends, Spyro takes up the mantle as Guardian of the Seasons, protecting realms that are incarnations of the four seasons from Malefor. Perhaps each realm has a guardian like the four Dragon Guardians from Legends, who pass on their powers to Spyro (hence the Winter Guardian skin at the start of the video). - Each realm may give Spyro an elemental power-up. These breaths may be similar to those in Enter the Dragonfly (Water for Spring, Fire for Summer, Lightning for Autumn, Ice for Winter), furthering the game as a potential spiritual successor to that game. It could also be the Legends elements, with Earth replacing Water, perhaps as a sort of platform-creating mechanic. - Playable allies may return from Spyro 3 and Enter the Dragonfly, with Hunter being an obvious inclusion (present in Dawn of the Dragon). After releasing her from Malefor's corruption, Cynder would also be playable in the final realm and final Malefor boss. Cynder may also keep her Shade-form ability from Skylanders to slip through certain gates for puzzle-solving.

I got into Spyro because of Skylanders and saw a lot of parallels between LoS and Star Wars. In my opinion, colectables should provide either new gameplay mechanics like the items in classic Zelda games, upgrades to life gauge (or other gauges like magic or stamina), cosmetic options like lightsaber hilt designs or blade colors in Force Unleashed and Jedi: Fallen Order, or used to upgrade inventory. That is in the case for collectibles on the scale of those in Spyro Reignited. I always viewed Spyro as the Zelda to Crash’s Mario. Crash and Mario are the platformer collectathons while Spyro and Zelda are supposed to be more story driven. Or is it just because of LoS having “The Legend of” in the title like every mainline Zelda game does?

That really doesn’t look like Spyro at all but more like a dragon character Spyro may meet. Also, could they be remaking Season of Ice into a 3D version? I think it’d be really cool if they remade the gameboy advance trilogy: season of ice, season of flame, and attack of the rhynocs

I'm hoping they axe the flight levels entirely. They're the reason I still don't have 100% completion in Spyro 1 in Reignited.

I don’t understand why they are seen as difficult. The only thing that I feel is that they should provide an overview so that we get to learn broadly where the items are, rather than inferring it on a narrow clock. I came back to Spyro last month and while I haven’t gotten around to completing every speedway, the most it has taken me is about 3 or 4 tries, it’s just an very sudden shift in pace of what is usually a pretty lain back game.
