I feel like they used a Linkwitz transform to extend the bass. Even with a 7" driver, obtaining that bass extension in a closed cabinet is no easy feat with that flat bass shelf they have got. Correct me if I'm wrong.
@ju1ceaudio8 ай бұрын
Hmm i wouldnt know about that, they actually dont extend super low in my opinion. But its just enough. I have some Buchart a10s in for review with purfi woofers and those in a sealed cabinet extend crazy low.

@Somebodysomewhere28 ай бұрын
@@ju1ceaudio i used them with trinnov and they were very good with trinnov but not very good without it . The tweeter was a touch dark too . I dont use the phase or delay settings on the ganymedes ,just a bit of eq from trinnov ,the phase on the atcs was not good without trinnov . I could use the ganymedes with no correction if i had to .
@ju1ceaudio8 ай бұрын
Ah i see, yeah the atcs can be a tad dark. Its hard to beat the coaxle speakers with phase. It just sounds so realsitic coming from one point instead of a bunch of drivers spaced far way from each other.
@Somebodysomewhere28 ай бұрын
@@ju1ceaudio yea something about the drivers in the atc’s that didn’t quite blend together and hearing the ex machina made that a lot more obvious

Great video! Would’ve loved to see a measurement in your mixing room instead of from the speakers website! Since you do live too. Would’ve probably helped to see how it translates.

Who do these sound relative to Adam Audio S3V?
@ju1ceaudio8 ай бұрын
I havent used any adam S series monitors yet but i will be soon so ill let you know!
@abboberg8 ай бұрын
@@ju1ceaudio It took me about a year to figure out how to get the absolute most out of the sound for home listening. The key was to remove any "junk" between the signal source, such as Poweramp Equalizer and Dolby Atmos. The S3V "likes" to have its own internal EQ used to produce the purest sound. Also, I use a Benchmark DAC 3L - what a difference over the much less costly alternatives! I currently stream YT Music from a Samsung S8 tablet at 24/192 using a USB cable into my DAC. The biggest draw for the S3V, I think, is that it is a bargain for all that you get. I got 40% off retail in a "no box" deal from Guitar Center.

Good review, except i strongly disagree with the argument that DSP is ahead of analog technology. Although you cant buffer and fully phasealign an analog filter across the entire spectrum the same way you can with DSP, it is not necessary. A perfectly designed analog solution will still be the pinnacle in natural and faithful reproduction of sound in my opinion. However a very good DSP solution will definitely sound better than the average analog design.
@ju1ceaudio3 ай бұрын
Yeah but price point wise at least, like the kali audios are super cheap but have so many dsp tuning options that would not be possible at the price range. Of course it would sound better to do with analog adjustments.

The guts and how it works make me excited.. The how it performs is just a result of the first part. 🙃😊

Hello, It is important to understand that theoretically, to do mastering, speakers must go below 30hz.
