Hey AshJer, this video really resonates with me. I run a fairly small channel focusing purely on Ratchet & Clank content and I'm feeling a similar sort of strain right now, It’s like I’m stuck in this niche that I used to have so much passion for, but lately, it feels more like I’m trapped, expected to keep churning out Ratchet & Clank videos, especially when anything else I try just flops. I've found myself in a similar cycle of chasing perfection, perfect videos, perfect thumbnails and perfect editing hoping that someday it will all pay off and reignite that passion I once had or even bring in more viewers. But tbh it’s just draining, and it leaves me feeling more frustrated when every upload seems to perform worse than the last. I think you're absolutely right though, its important to just do whatever makes YOU happy and to not worry about losing viewers... easier said than done trust me, I know. But you'll feel a lot more satisfied with your work and content if you just do whatever makes you happy.

I remember seeing that and resonating with everything he said, but still going against his advice 😭. I think same as me, the best thing to do is create out of passion, not out of necessity. Th17 is a great chance to turn a page in the channels future if you’re not enjoying what is currently happening, it sucks that you are passionate about the builder base, but you are feeling the need that it needs to be perfect, and you are setting the bar for yourself so high. Yo bro love that you pour your heart out on this video. I've seen in the past you get stuck on perfectionism. I would say use those 9 hours of content and rinse it out. Make story videos using that stuff and definitely don't hold yourself to unattainable standards the same way you stopped pushing ranked a few months ago with that similar video. Either way you've made me enjoy builder base more, but there are deep problems with that game mode which have made me slow down too. Try do a few regular clash videos, make a clan, pit viewers Vs viewers using a discord id enjoy that..anyway laters bro I gotta go to work 😊

Don't do this yourself man, Your videos are really great but it doesn't mean that for good videos you have to sacrifice your life and happiness. It's not easy to grow as a builder base KZbinr because I feel supercell doesn't want that. My builder base is completely maxed so I don't feel the need to play it, also because I don't see anything that supercell is doing for the good of the builder base. Make videos for KZbin to have fun and enjoy the game not because others should like the video. Also why do you take the pressure of uploading only perfect attacks, play the game without any pressure and in that if you can make videos, well and good else just upload once a week, please don't waste your time for doing something you don't like. You can also play home Village for sometime just for fun not for KZbin. I also tried trophy pushing in builder base, my all time best was 1900 in the world but after a certain point I couldn't play the builder base as there was nothing left in it for me and I guess it's the same for others so please don't ruin your life for this game.

Hey Ashjer, it was probably hard to be this honest about how you feel, but I appreciate it (and I’m sure many others do as well). I remember your videos a while back where you would just do chill attacks with life commentary, that was fun. That’s how I first found you and that was really unique. It made it feel less like a generic ‘youtube content video’ and more like a vlog. If you do decide to move on to main village or non-COC stuff that’s your decision, but I really like the builder base and I like watching you play. I don’t care if it’s ’the best’, I just want to get better at the builder base and this is my most enjoyable way of learning. There aren’t a lot of builder base creators out there so it’d be a shame to lose you. Not saying this to pressure you or anything, just letting you know that your niche is valued. Maybe not by the masses, but by us who do actually enjoy the builder base. Anyways, I hope you find a rhythm that you enjoy that doesn’t burn you out and make you dread making videos. Yeah this is probably a good move. Have a designated day of the week for highly-edited videos and then the rest of the week can be regular low-maintenance videos (maybe every-other day to make it easier). That way you still have the engaging videos for the masses while not feeling like you have to throw away all of your ‘sub-par’ footage. And you’ll still get a steady stream of viewers from those vids that will allow you to gauge how many people are interested in each type of video. Probably not the best way to go if you’re trying to game the algorithm, but it sounds like you already realize that you don’t want to go that route

Dont force to your passion to be your job! I gave youtubing a shot but it is draining to make videos. I have made edited videos before and they can be rough if you want it to look good. Bottom line is, do it because you enjoy it and the views will come as a director i can tell when people are trying to convey an emotion, but some emotions are extremely hard to recreate and doing so is more draining than just, enjoying yourself. If you are genuine the views will come people can tell and appreciate authenticity, and if they dont those arent people you want around.

From this perspective I don't think Supercell really needs the builder base. They obviously have a lot of ideas for main village and it brings them enought profit. They tried to rework it, it didn't work so they realised all of the money and time they spent on builder base 2.0 was wasted. They realised that was a bad business decision so they are not doing it again. So take a lesson from them and stop wasting your time and effort on this thing. i just finished watching and all of these issues youre having seem to come partly from the builder base not getting updated but mostly because youre placing restrictions on yourself and trying to make everything perfect and get a bunch of viewers and whatnot, its like youre struggling to enjoy yourself because you keep doing things that you dont want to do instead of just doing the things you do want to do, i know you of all people can make that happen, give us some krunker gameplay or some cod clips or just take a break for a little and pop in with a livestream every week or two, i think you want to do too much with what little youre given and its draining you
