Universal has the holloween events on LOCK DOWN!! It would be SUPER kool, if UNI put an automatronic black lagoon creature in the ponds, and every hour or so a creepy head pops out the water and blinks its eyes at you. People and kids would loose their minds!!

Would be cool if they set it up so that no matter when you went there day or night it was always midnight maybe have windows where you can see the kitchen ( like the Toads eatery ) but instead there are Boos and Dry Bones making your meals.

I think the most obvious choice would be a slow moving dark ride similar to Haunted Mansion at Disney Parks, and I think thats what they will do given that it needs to be family friendly.

Creature of the black lagoon ride just isn't happening in Dark Universe. The expansion pad is only 3 acres. It would be over in less than a minute. But they may build something like a museum with props from some of the original films. That, or, a small show building...like for a show. The other thing would be to just put a couple of sprung tents up and do a seasonal haunted house back there.

Things I would love to see. Lord of the Rings would make a lot of sense. More Nintendo. A Pokemon snap ride, Luigi's mansion ride. An attraction around Metroid, F Zero ( could be Universals answer to Tron). Of course Zelda as well and perhaps Astral Chain, Star Fox, and Kirby attractions. Also would love an anime inspired land as well. A Haunted attraction around Ito's works. If there is one franchise though I would love to see at Universal it would be Final Fantasy. Also bring the Beijing Jurassic World ride to Universal.

When I was little there was this attraction called “ Draculas Castle “ it was very unique cause it had a walk through section that toured t the many rooms of the castle as well as a log fume ride that toured the dungeon . It wasn’t too scary even though I was about 8 . But sadly it burned down in the early 90s. This was located in Wildwood , Nj . Something like that would be fantastic at the Dark Universe.

I’d like to hope that Celestial Park could include mini-portal spots for character meet & greets (mostly from Universal’s older films or IP owned by Universal via “Dreamworks Classics” (ex: Felix the Cat, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Waldo, Casper etc)

They could use a Mack water coaster for a Creature of the Black Lagoon attraction. With Mack already producing the majority of EU new coasters it makes business sense. Manufacturers usually give discounts the more you buy from them.

I still really wish Super Nintendo World would expand to more unique franchises than just Mario & friends, but if that Luigi's Mansion thing ends up happening, that possibility would be pretty much done for sadly. Most Nintendo fans enjoy the company's variety, give us some Splatoon or even Animal Crossing!

A side thought. If they were to add another land to the park... they've got a tiny problem. There's no more room on the Chronos for another medallion. So maybe that 20 acre expansion spot is for Celestial park? TBD...

LoTR could be sooooooo cool. But there's so much in the IP that it might be hard to edit it down to something achievable and satisfactory. But if they do it well - take my money.

It could be done pretty well still. Just wouldn't expect to see every area thrown in. Ideas I've seen proposed are a small Shire are at the front and transition to Rivendell for the main area of the land. Can do a raft ride themed to the barrels in Hobbit that shows Mirkwood too. Basis for how you get there and timeline would be Bilbo telling stories of his adventures and the ride being the story he is telling. Could then do a dark ride that is based out of Rivendell where you get more of a greatest hits moments or incorporates more elements to it like Forbidden Journey. You join the Fellowship on an adventure setting out from Rivendell. Could hit Moria, Isengard, Mordor/Mount Doom, Minis Mrogul and Minis Tirith, etc. Whatever they wanted to show. Could also do a flying theatre like Flight of Passage themed to riding on the eagles that could fly you around to a lot of the areas. Start out calm then you start being chased by Nazgul or something for a more thrilling end.

The one ride I forgot to mention was the potential expansion of a screen based HTTYD ride. Universal did file very unique permits related to this a couple years ago.

I think instead of expansions to the upcoming lands, there will be three new lands. The Kronos Tower represents the eight planets in our solar system with five of planets represented by the medallions above the portals to enter each of the five lands. So that leaves three lands to be built to complete the eight planets of our solar system. From the maps shown, there does seem to be three huge empty spaces at Epic Universe.

I agree that any expansion may not happen for a few years. Universal has sooo much going on else where. They need to replace Simpsons when the IP runs out (or even before) in 2028. Lost Continent is just sitting there empty. They need to finish Universal Kids in Texas, HHN in Vegas, start prepping for whatever they plan to do in the UK, etc. BTW, if Texas is a success, I guarantee they are going to fast track more of these parks. Families love to have places to take their kids on a regional basis and not travel 1000 miles.
