BG's isn't that balanced these days, the devs threw anomalies in the game but haven't fixed the minion pools to make all tribes viable.

Murlocs clown car is the best in my opinion. I only saw undead wins against that kind of comp or another clown car comp. But rock rock is much easier to scale if you can get 4 gusties, wins most of the time when it happens.

The BG team at Blizz reallybneed to either update or fox the tame so that it can handle the high apm games. They need to at least shorten the animations & speed up how fast the game handles the likes of Tethys & Gusty Trumpeter. Because a player can sell & get *so many* cards in a period of a few seconds, they need to speed up the animation or take it out completely. *Especially when they put an anomaly in that forces you to play high apm.*

If only it were that simple. Chances are animations are used to buffer network pings. If you had ZERO animation frames the game would still run slow and would be bottlenecked by the network. At least with animations it is user friendly and more within their control

The refusal for Blizzard to optimize their client is getting absolutely ridiculous at this point. It wouldn't even be that hard to optimize. It's pretty obvious that each buff gets added to a list where each buff recalculated individually each update. Sure, there are cards like Uther where order matters, but it would still be easy to combine buffs between "breaking" buffs. There's absolutely no reason why thousands of calculations should have to be re-run each time a card is played. The fact I can have a Factorio K2+SE game with ridiculous numbers of real time interactions while Hearthstone can't even run smoothly with 7 cards to update should be absolutely humiliating to all their engine developers. Like imagine the embarrassment of having engine development for Hearthstone on your resume.

You're only accidentally right on like one point. The logic behind calculating the buffs is probably omega unoptimized. But they dont have engine developers for this game. The game is made using Unity. And the problem is the server. The client is running clean as fuck.

They used triple Brann alongside the elemental that gives attack and health equal to the number of rolls made that turn.

OK I love dogdog and he's better than me at this game but Nomi had to of been the correct play here. He has no scaling yet (found party later that turn) and EVERYONE is going to be rushing for gustys/rock rock. If you're not the one to get them you just lose for free. Had he picked up the nomi on turn 6, he would've already had +5/+5, excluding the tempest that he took over nomi. Then on turn 7 it would've been at least +17/+17, but depending on how differently he would've played w/nomi it might've been closer to +20/+20 going into turn 8. Keep in mind Dog only had 3 units with 20/20~ statlines, so nomi would make every elem stronger than his strongest unit w/o nomi. Using duo on gusty is still correct, but he would've had a second nomi at the end of this turn over a fairly weak (he's already about to go infinite) tempest. On turn 9 he could've easily ended with +50/50 assuming still 1 nomi-- with the second nomi which he likely would've taken, it would be higher. Some of his later turns, Frostling already showed 270 elems played. Had he gone nomi, this number would've been significantly higher as he would've saved a lot of time/gold leveling for rock rocks. His elems would've been +700/+700. That's if he sold nomi early, but could've got them closer to +1000/+1000 keeping nomi and skipping fights like he did. Yes he ended up getting the rock rocks, so his board was still quite strong. However every triple elem with nomi would've been +2500/+2500 or more and you have freedom to take cleaves. One copy elem w/divine shield and you're baked. Yes nomi's biggest weakness is that he's a dead unit on board, but so is rock rock until you get multiples. Rock rock had a huge weakness here of everyone going for them plus it takes longer to come up so more chance of dying before coming online.. wheras nomi was right there ready to scale you up every turn with way less RNG. You still need to find the gusty's for infinite, but if you miss then at least you're scaling and can take top 4 easily. Skipping nomi there is an auto loss if you don't find gustys+rock rocks and still weaker than nomi IMO

nomi was probably a safer play short term, but tempest was way stronger here for the extra gold. riskier, but it got him not just the turn 6 duo, but the turn 7 drakkari duo combo because the only other way to triple on turn six would have been to sell the sellementals without tripling it first, leaving him without the easy triple for drakkari it might've been more nomi stats short term, but tripling his gusty by turn 8 was far more important. all those stats you mentioned don't exist without the early gusty triple.
