You have the Quick Jacks backwards. The steel plate with the warning label is supposed to be pointing to the front of the car.

Skyline, thanks for pointing that out. I had a suspicion that it was orientated incorrectly.

This is really funny because this video just poped up in my feed on quick jack direction from quick jacks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH-lepyVnteIsLc Looks like the "sticker side" goes towards the heavier side of the car.

Congrats. I remember leaving a comment about a year ago recommending these. I now use the truck extensions with mine to raise it even higher. But, you need a set of race ramps to use the truck extensions. You raise the car up, rest it on the race ramps, lower the QJ, put the truck extensions on and then raise the car up again. Gives you another 7 or so inches more. I do recommend using race ramps as a fail stop incase something happens to the QJ while you are underneath the car. BTW, sold my F430 and now i have a 458.
@TheBullRider
@TheBullRider Жыл бұрын
Christschool, congrats on the 458!! I like your idea of using the truck extensions. I don't know about you thought but I feel like when I am under the car even with the stock quick jack height, there is more space than I have ever had to work on any car.
@christschool
@christschool Жыл бұрын
@@TheBullRider True, but eventually, like me, you'll want even more room, that's why I went with the extensions. 🙂

Definitely indispensable for the Gallardo. The double-jack dance is a PITA. I assume it's the same on the SL, but I found the rear jack point circle on the undertray to be in a weird position. I removed those side panels for a better look and the jackable area back there is pretty big relative the the single member in the font. Anyway, good to see you still posting. I've been following your walk-through on the "V" oil pipe, lol.
@TheBullRider
@TheBullRider Жыл бұрын
Richard, agreed. The SL is exactly the same in jack points and those side panels dont make it easy. Glad you enjoyed that video! Getting to the leak underneath isnt all that bad!

I’m glad to see you again, I was starting to wonder what happened to you and your videos, question is this quick jack a new model? My quick jack 5000 won’t reach the lifting spots exactly, it works but doesn’t reach to the center of the rear circles
@pilotgirl5953
@pilotgirl5953 Жыл бұрын
This is my concern. I am told the regular lift won't reach the correct lifting points.
@TheBullRider
@TheBullRider Жыл бұрын
Jacob, this is the 5000TLX. It has that little bit of extra wiggle room to get you all the way to the right jacking spots.

I know this is off-topic for the video, but i am curious if you have had an issue with the Econ AC setting staying on. I pressed it once to shut the Ac off, now it wont turn off and my AC will not engage. Is there an issue with my ac charge, or possibly the AC compressor? Thanks in advance.
