For those who are wondering, Galaxy Games has had a "for sale" sign outside of its building for months now, with no word about reopening on Facebook page since the start of the pandemic. The last post made stated that they would be "closed until further notice" in early March. That was the final post on their social media page. Seems like the store is closed now unfortunately.

This comment may never be seen, but @the game chasers are the reason I started collecting again. This episode reminded me of why game collecting/chasing is so much fun, just watching Chris and the guys talk about all their gaming memories brought back so many memories of KB Toys/Software Etc/GameStop/etc. If you guys ever read this I wanted to say thank you for inspiring me and reminding me of all the fun times.

I love when Jay complains about catching himself slipping, basically. I start cracking the fuck up. He gets so upset when anyone finds anything decent and he didn't see it first. I also think he undermines Chris's knowledge of the games he runs into. Don't be like that, man. That's the way game chasin' go, right? Hahahaha EDIT: This is honestly one of my favorite episodes ever, and shows just how much Chris really loves chasing, too. He's probably my favorite Chaser, ironically, considering he chases the least (and was never a Chaser). I always relate to the games he picks up more than the rest. Thank you guys so much for the work you've put into this series. It's become my favorite gaming series on KZbin. Much love from Kansas City.

That last segment was freaking fantastic. When video games trigger memories or offer that escape from hard times, I can totally relate to it. It's why I got into retro stuff 4 years ago; I have a lot of memories-- mostly great memories-- that come with playing those games, and when life kicks my ass and leaves me bleeding, I can find solace in playing them. Man, Galaxy Games is awesome. 2,500 miles away from me, sadly, but I'd love to go some day. The prices are more than fair, and you guys found some really good stuff. It's a reminder that game stores aren't always out to get you on pricing. Some places are awesome-- I'm glad that I have a place like that just a couple of towns over.

I just finished marathoning this show and I can say that this has been an inspiration for me to start actively game chasing in my local area. Last weekend I spent a great portion of my Saturday just going to different flea markets and thrift stores just looking for something to add to my game collection. While I highly doubt I'll ever come across something like Surprise at Dinosaur Peak or Little Samson, it doesn't matter to me because for me it's all about having fun and hanging out with somebody that's also looking for old video games. Can't wait for the next new episode.
