I only popped in because of your stunning thumbnail with my fav pairing…(I LOVE EI-KUN AND IORI A LOT) but this is actually a very good review! Not too long, covering all important points and explaining the gameplay well, which is good since I saw many ppl getting confused at that. I really hope more ppl watch this and play the game!

I just buy this game after watching your review and finished it last night after playing it for few days. Damnnnnn it was 10/10. Everything is sooo enjoyable. The story was really really confusing yet so good. The art style and the art direction is also really good. Too bad i will only speak about this game on youtube comment only. Great review, but I do wish you would have mentioned that the English Dub is pretty good, especially when you consider the time restraint that was under. I haven't gotten the game yet, but I plan on it.

@@JRPGFanatic You know, I wonder if the reason why this game didn't get any publicity is because of the timing. Sony was getting ready for it's PS5 release after all and the only PS4 game that got any attention was the next Kingdom Hearts game because well, it's KH!

@@Zodia195 I don't know for sure but timing could have definitely been bad. Genshin Impact also came out the following week. The promotional material I saw also didn't sell it for me. It was hard to figure out what kind of game it was and how it would play. I think having Vanillaware on the cover helped a lot.

Stfu dub hater go fucking watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in dub their dub is fantastic you're are just too damn blind and too much of a hater to understand there are awesome dubs out there and not just FMAB but also other stuff like the Persona franchise, the Trails of Cold Steel games, Danganronpa franchise, and this game also has an awesome dub there are also a lot of anime that have fantastic dubs as well, but again you're too damn blindly in love with Japanese voices too damn stupid for one thing and is too much of a hater to understand that there are amazing dubs out there

And why would I waste my time on it anyway (not to mention that English is not even my first language and I can clearly hear how much inferiors dubs are)? Dubs are always inferior no matter how good they are trying to be. You'll always hearing fake voices with altered personalities and characterization. Are you seriously a 5yo kid that I need explain you basics like this? Amazing dubs? Not thank you. I'll always choose what original creators created instead using bootleg copy.

Im a few hours in. I live Vanillawares art style and animations, but this game isn't really drawing me in at all. The battle system is kinda boring to me (nothing against it, it's just not my style) but even the lower level fights are a little too visually chaotic and hard to follow. While i appreciate what they're doing with the story, i usually prefer my narratives to be a little more straightforward, without so much bouncing around between characters and time periods. That said, i admire vanillaware and the developers for trying something new and out of the ordinary, even if i don't care for it much myself.

In my experience, it was a game that got better every time I sat down with it. Especially when more things continue to click together, you're really starting to get it and yet not fully knowing the story up to very end. And chaotic battles, hm? It was simple for me, unfortunately. You see where enemies are spawning ahead of time and game pauses every time you command Sentinels. You kinda learn to exterminate each enemy group the moment they spawn.

That's a fair assessment. Perhaps i just need to be in the right headspace for that type of game, and i just haven't yet been. When i said the battles were chaotic, i meant visually. I haven't yet managed to feel like i know exactly what I'm looking at. They've all been easy to win (so far), but not due to any great amount of skill on my part. (On a side note, the battles gave me flashbacks to the Submarine minigame from the original Final Fantasy 7. Not a complaint, just a feeling)

I gave up on this game after I realized the price is never going down but ONLY UP. Which means basically only one thing, EXPLOITATION & SCALPERS. I fold my friends. Sadly, I fold. Hopefully the future of gaming isnt about bumping up artificial prices on popular cult products only so you can profit and buy your newest toy, NERDS!
