I really hope that we will see more “VR MMORPGs” with crossplay between all VR plataforms ( PCVR, PSVR, PSVR 2 and Quest 2 ) like Zenith in the future. This whole concept looks soooooo cool, and perfect for the VR.

For me the one thing holding back Zenith is the world itself. It needs a fresh coat of paint especially in the city area. More life more things to discover. Feels kinda hollow atm

I agree, it really is lacking in the graphics department. The environments are great just some assets feel like they were ripped from a PS2 game. If it had the LOD like boneworks then it would genuinely be higher on the list for me. Granted I haven't played since launch so I'm not sure what's been changed.

​@@ClanpsAnd honestly, I dont think the graphics would be as big of a deal if there was more life in the towns. Without the life the only thing that can save them is graphics, which as stated above, doesnt work

@@dratini1247 I personally just don't think that low detail textures can work like they're using them in Zenith. In VR games textures that are seen up close by someone shouldn't be so low resolution that the pixels are blurry, I know some games do that style on purpose but this game is a clear example of rushed work it's all muddy looking and not eye candy in the lightest. But I also agree with you. The towns need to be more populated, like it would help a lot if there were NPCS just casually walking around and kids playing or something to give it that feel that you're in a large city or in a town. As it stands now it's very off putting to have practically deserted towns. I recently went to check the game out again and I've noticed that server lag is even worse than it was before, enemies teleport so frequently it's not even funny. I really would love to give the game a good rating but compared to other PC VR titles it's quite lack luster.

Literally for me what is missing for zenith to become equal to sword art online: having more content (missions, history and etc), having more classes and attacks, and a better artificial intelligence for each monster.

I preordered Zenith. I liked it, but when I upgraded to PSVR2 I just really don't want to restart. This video is really making me want to get back into it. Might have to snag it for myself as a Christmas gift.

Got back in recently and i LOVE it!!! the game is incredible and even now has come far from its alphas which i played in before launch, burned out and took a break till now. Hopefully psvr2 and 1.3 push it back to the forefront

I'm really looking forward to Illysia. I honestly can't express how excited I am. Have you heard of Oathbreakers VR? It's another VR MMO currently still in the works. Reminds me of Orbus sort of.

I think Ilysia could be a REALLY good VRMMO because of how unique it is compared to the rest, I really am excited for it to come out. I haven't, Ima need to check that one out and keep up to date with it!

The only thing that can save VR is more cross platform play (include mobiles) , affordable headsets (including plastic cardboard headsets) , better controllers for mobiles for VR use (the purely shit single controller is not gonna do it, needs to be dual controllers or a dedicated gamepad) Wish I could play these games with my poor man's mobile set up (S23 Ult in VR headset box and an Xbox controller) but the powers of VR keep missing us mobile players, might even be a Google issue too

I played the hell out of Orbus, until they moved their headquarters or servers. Which shot my ping from like 250 or so to over 10k. had to stop playing after that -_-

VR definitely has its way to go to literally die out, but the press around it is pretty bad, the idea here is im hoping Zenith almost acts as continued motivation for more developers to take on VR, most people I know with VR never use them, and they're just paperweights, so it makes me fearful at times.

I mean from an old mmorpg gamer perspective I remember i play that on the day of launch and was terrible, the worst game i played in vr by far, and its just because the word is dead, the game have things to do but all its absolutly boring was make with no soul at all, is more a social game that an mmorpg and even so there was no players, mechanics was goofy ahh I mean the game was complete but its just dont work, its boring, probably the only vr game where i feel like that Do u still have to force yourself to play it or its enjoyable now? No hate but i really was disapointed since i was waiting the launch for a lot of time There was ppl that maybe never try an mmorpg before defending that game as a revolutionary

The fact that you say beat saber wouldn't be anything without it's mods proves you're pulling this out of your butt. Not even 10% of beat saber users use mods lol

Zenith is a stepping stone into helping VR succeed, but the Beat Saber claim is valid. Sorting Beat Saber by most viewed, and even videos now, its only custom songs. When the game released there were 6-7 songs and new songs didn't come for over a year. The custom songs were the only thing me and my brother were interested in our first months in the game, and because VR at the time required a PC, everyone had access to mods. Nowadays most Beat Saber players may not have mods, but nowadays is after Beat Saber blew up, custom songs did put Beat Saber in a viral spot where it was even able to survive, only then leading to more songs with packs with famous artists like Lizzo and Imagine Dragons. An easy example I can add is Reality Check Through The Skull, back then when it came out it was known to be the hardest level and it led to big talk around the community, its an easy example to show why custom songs grew Beat Saber. It's super easy to get bored and drop the game with 7 songs.
