Nintendogs has a special place for me. When I was around 5, I got attacked by my neighbor's dog, had to get stitches all around my face, and that caused me to be deathly afraid of any kind of dog, small or large. i really appreciate the way this channel adds new context to the old PBG videos and gives a little behind-the-scenes look into the games you chose for videos/top 10s! they’re also just entertaining on their own. keep up the good work, and thank you for being such a big part of my childhood! as for a game i won’t play again, i’d pick pokemon let’s go. when i started it, i had replayed Pokemon Firered several months ago and enjoyed it, so i thought i was ready for another romp through kanto (though i’d learned after firered that i don’t really like kanto as a region). but when i started playing PLGE, i was so disappointed when i realized you straight-up couldn’t get pokemon aside from the original 151 AT ALL. like do we really need ANOTHER game where we can’t get kingdra?? i assumed it might’ve been for balancing reasons, but why would you bring back megas and not pokemon like crobat??? i just couldn’t handle it. i was having fun with it but i dropped it immediately upon learning that info. i probably would’ve played it more if i hadn’t replayed firered, my first and favorite version of kanto, within the same year.

@@namelessliberty9869 from my personal opinion: Rune Factory 5 kind of feels that way, but Rune Factory 4 basically throws you right into action right from the start. Hey Peebs, As one of the Rune Factory fans you mentioned, I've always wanted to see you make a main PBG video about the series. But I get where you're coming from, if you’re more into traditional farming games, then the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games are definitely the way to go. Honestly, the first Rune Factory game isn’t really worth going back to, in my opinion. If you want to try one of the earlier entries, I’d recommend going with Rune Factory 3, as that’s when the series really starts to get better, at least in my view. 😅 I’m glad you enjoyed Frontier and 4 though! Those are definitely two of the best in the series, and you should check out Rune Factory 5 too. It may not be quite as good as Frontier, but I think it’s still worth playing. 😁

My anticipation for Smash 4 was through the roof back when it was announced. I nearly cried tears of joy when Ultimate was announced. But now I don’t boot up any of the games unless my friends want to play them. The Hyrule Warriors pick makes a lot of sense. I think it's a great game for the story mode, hitting that 3D Zelda nostalgia on all cylinders, but then after the story mode is over, the rest of the game mainly exists for completionists (or maybe classic Dynasty Warriors fans). There's basically no end to the amount of content, and though each scenario is different, it can be quite difficult not to feel repetitive. I still pick it up and play every once in a while, hoping to get that 100% completion by the end of my life, but it's not easy to stick with it for too long, before I bounce off again.

Also maybe your daughter will want to play some of those games with you in the future. I was lucky enough to have a rotating group of friends during the n64 and gamecube era so we always had enough players for 4 swords. Every year we talk about replaying it and I believe it will happen at some point.

With nino Kuni I felt like what pushed me away was the whole pokémon style using monsters to fight for you and the fact that RPGs take hundred hours or so to get all the way through and I just don't have that time anymore
@Mattm182Ай бұрын
I feel that 100% I’ve tried multiple times to play ni no kuni and I am just particularly NOT in to that pokemon style battle element It would be WAY BETTER if I could just have classic rpg style combat where I’m hitting the enemy with swords and magic and projectiles I was super turned off by the little monsters. Also I’ll double down and say yes the amount of time that shit takes is just abhorrent to modern day me as well.

You don't have to be scared of sharks, You're more likely to be struck by lightning than attacked by a shark.

Peebs, I love you bro, I had no idea you knew about No More Heroes the background music at the start is great. Please, for as long as you make content, continue to make videos you love, content you're passionate about. Because that's where you shine.

Thankfully I have 4 other younger siblings and I remember we would sink HOURS into the Mario chase mode and seeing my siblings face on the gamepad through the TV was so funny especially during tense moments. I think it'll forever hold a special place in my heart for the memories it gave me and my family as well as bringing us closer together. Shame I'll never get to try the newer modes since they shut the eShop down. :(

30:14 Dynasty Warriors is based on the more fictionalized portrayal of Chinese history, aka the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Methinks you're thinking of Samurai Warriors, the other series by Koei Tecmo that's based on the feudal Japan era.

I loved the vibe and music when I first played Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U and even now I still enjoy the music :D

Pokémon Channel is just a really chill game; I bought it one summer and loved the heck out of it, so this game just embodies summer to me. Sure, it's not very exciting and you can't do much with it, but I think that's the charm with it too; that you're not supposed to have any grand adventures or complete tasks for completion; you're just supposed to chill with your Pikachu, and I think that's a cool idea.

Honestly, Hyrule Warriors is one of my favorite games ever. Played both the Wii U and 3DS versions over 400 hours each and did two complete playthroughs of the Switch version. Age of Calamity was a disappointment, IMO.

I've seen reviews of people complaining about earlier Rune Factory games, so perhaps you were right to drop that one. I dunno, only Rune Factory game I've played was 4 Special. I even went through the postgame. And I married the butler Vishnal in that game. I just loved how loyal and dedicated he was to the player character. Even before she romanced him.

If you like harvest moon for the growing crops, chopping wood, upgrading things id say try medieval dynast. I guess it’s a little like animal crossing but you can command people to do things. Hunt, collect water, chop wood and make planks, caring for animals and different crops. It definitely can become tedious.

Hyrule warriors is such a massive game with the extra content maps. I could only see myself replaying the main story. The extra content easily added months of commitment

I took Smash Bros Melee to tournaments and did fairly well. I can't do it these days. I'm old now and just can't keep up and my reflexes aren't what they used to be.

Final fantasy Crystal Chronicles is my favorite video game of all time. Friends and I would get together every Monday, order pizza, drinks, and a fat blu- ahem. We'd play through a year, we'd spark up while we read our families letters, and coordinate what gifts to send them to upgrade our town. The downtime between missions we'd eat and drink, bathroom breaks etc. and just before each fight, we'd discuss our roles in combat, and coordinate strategies to handle tougher fights. The remake lost all of this charm. And the original is too expensive and complicated for most people to play together. I'll miss that game.

Glad to see Sidequest pop up. Watching Casey do a Spinning Piledriver and break Meg into the floor is always a treat.
