I have already seen the punishment in this life, with disease, with heart issues at the age of 26, with chronic gut diseases and skin afflictions have gotten worse with addiction. I was a daily alcoholic for 2 years, addicted to pills and smoking. It has been horrible, ultimately it got me questioning; if this is the punishment for doing drugs since I was 14, do I really want to see the punishment of the Hereafter, which will last for all eternity? Subhan Allah! Later, after multiple weird events that had made me contemplate different perspectives on how to live, someone close to me died of cancer before celebrating his 50th year on this earth and it just catapulted me towards truth. Shook my heart, shook my soul and shook my intellect to the point I could not turn my back at truth anymore. He died with the intention of wanting to play ACDC hells bells in his funeral. Overall a really kind human, but clearly engulfed with this world. It just awakened me, it felt like my heart was being choked and hugged at the same time. Like something was screaming at me to return to my true purpose. I was constantly crying for days, doing research about the Hereafter to remind myself, begging for guidance and the strength of dicipline. Alhamdulillah, the Best of Wisdom is the Wisdom that Allah Azzawajal shows you at your lowest point. Never forget when you become better, that He was the one who guided you out of that darkness. I am getting healthier again, but I will never drink alcohol ever again; and I have not touched it in 10 months. I won't even be in company of it anymore. Trust me, if people avoid these talks just because they are scared of death or imagining it; they are fooling themselves, and the devil does not even have to give you any whispers at that point. Imagine dying at that time, while having a clouded mind and heart 😭 I have a long way to go yet, but I will never let my thoughts wander so far that I lose years to worship, for stuff that does not matter at all, and this life has been hard; but drugs never helped in the way that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has helped me. I ask and pray Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to guide us on His straight path, to forgive us for our shortcomings, to provide us insight when we lose track of our ultimate purpose, and to accept our repentance when we turn back to Him. Allahumma Ameen 🤍

Nothing is more beautiful than the words of the penitent one who cries out in sincere remorse and searing regret while saying: “My forelock, O Allah, is in Your Hands. I lower my face on the ground for You. My heart has surrendered to You, and my shadow prostrates to You. “I knock on Your door with the desperation of a lost child, and I will not leave till You allow me in. After all, I have nowhere else to go; no god to go to but You, no escape but You, no shelter from my fears but You, no hearer and solver of my problems but You. I call upon You despite my pitiful state, and I implore You despite the vastness of my crimes. I, however, have come to learn that Your mercy is vaster than my crimes. “Should You turn me away, then I am the imprisoned one despite my freedom, the lonely one despite my people, the exiled one despite my home, the bankrupt one despite my wealth, the ill one despite my health, and the dead one despite my life. “O Allah, I ask You by virtue of Your Supremacy and my lowliness, Your Richness and my poverty, Your Power and my frailty, and Your Wisdom and my ignorance, that You restore back the īmān that I have wounded in my heart, erase the sins that I have accrued, and bring light back to the heart that I have darkened. Only You can do that, and my belief is that You will. “I am content that You, alone, are Allah. I am happy that I know You, and happier that I worship You, so I beg You to be happy with me. “I have raised my empty and sinful hands to You. I will not put them down till You fill them with Your forgiveness and acceptance. Never have You left a beseecher empty handed. You are too generous to leave my branch unleafed.”

I advise you my brother to take and look at things positively, because the internet has corrupted us into thinking there's racism in everything and every simple wording, but that's not the case at all. Sister just for your understanding, He said a Hadith of the Prophet S.A.W that when He S.A.W said ( some of YOU are pushing people away from Islam ) So the (YOU) that the Prophet S.A.W used here, do you think it was a bad selection of words? Nauzubillah. And other thing is that the selection of his words were incredible, exactly how they should’ve been because this lecture was mostly for Asian Muslims and i’m saying because i’m an Asian and i have seen the Asian Muslims going through these things and have forgotten about themselves, So the words selection here is not what Asians would mind. I’m black and I didn’t feel offended listening to this. There was no racism or any discrimination. If u listen closely, the sheikh mentioned he’s from the uk and he’s talking about the blacks in the UK which are predominantly Jamaicans and lot’s of young people imitate them in their use of language. He wasn’t talking about AA vernacular hence him mentioning “yardie” so him saying those blacks, he’s talking about a specific dialect/slang and if u have lived in the UK or been exposed to the culture there, you would understand where he’s coming from.

This is sadly my story I went for a man of consumption and a party lifestyle. I gave him 15 years of my youth. My father begged me to return to the stright path but I did not listen for I wanted the thrill of freedom. I had 2 children with him and committed fully to him his business and his family. He would come home high as a kite and was always drinking on the weekends when he did have free time. After the divorce he left me in the street and kept the children. I was left penniless. Please young sisters leave the ego kings and flee to the masjid to find a man of Iman.

Please brother never change. I'm an ex shia and when i reverted there was another sheikh i won't name whom i used to listen to and admire but he sold out, Allah knows best, he promoted some music video and hijabless grown girls on his channel. First he climbed very high in the Muslim world with no controversial talks but then when he was almost the most viewed sheikh i noticed odd things he was saying. I believe you have all the right boxes checked to go very high and these are the sort of people they target to manipulate simple Muslims. Of course you know all this better than me.
