Michael Fassbender isn't some hero of the movie, he's the villain. Killing the cab driver at the beginning, was because the cab driver knew about the house and him. The billionaire wasn't a threat, and killing him would have brought down a lot of heat investigating his death. Not to mention he had no link to Fassbender, who he really was. Where he lived, how to ever find him as the link to him is now broken.

I lost respect for the assassin when he killed the innocent cab driver who's just doing a poor laborers' job...and perhaps same for innocent secretary. Plus, why put 3 nails in the lawyers chest and expect him to live to relay valuable info? I have no love for killers without souls or true purpose beyond being hired guns. He proved my soulless hired-gun theory by the ending chosen for the movie. Again, kills the innocent and powerless cab driver...who lives in a country where even calling the police for people who are connected can destroy your life...but allows the powerful billionaire, who perhaps was aware of the consequences of not paying the extra to clean up the botched job and decided his money had better use(like buying another unnecessary pricey car )...to live. I can't agree with that logic. Beyond my personal pet peeves, I think the acting is on point...and always respect Michael Fassbender's acting skills...especially his work with one of my favorite directors, Steve McQueen.

I didn’t know movie plots were taken so seriously. If folk took real life people and the piss poor experiences that others extend and they see others extend just as seriously……there would never be a need for folk to say/claim, “they’re gonna change the world”. As the overall trajectory of one’s intentions and behavior would not reflect that which it reflects these days. Although a high percentage of all that’s written to produce movies reflect others lives and personal experiences…………It’s just a movie. No different than ones fantasized thinking and selfish behavior. As no one outside of that person, takes what they think seriously, being that they are entitled to believe whatever they desire. As it will inevitably really only affect them.

@@drea2578 "Plus the killer knows that the billionaire won't be a problem in the future because he threatened to kill him if he ever order a hit on him" Ah yes - because a billionaire is likely to be more afraid of a single gunman than an average cab driver who would take a lifetime to make enough money to hire a single assassin 🤡 Threatening the cab driver would be 1000x more likely to be successful than the billionaire. The cab driver would have probably changed jobs and emigrated to another country out of fear alone. The billionaire on the other hand can just hire a frickin private army. The killer almost got his ass handed to him by a single big thug - a concentrated effort by a private army would have taken him out no problem.

I can do that 4 times a week, working only 3 days a week, with no fear of losing my life at anytime by a another hit man. The whole concept of him having this wonderful life is BALONEY. He lives in fear 24/7 and can't really rest. He teaches BS at every turn in the movie. This is NO WAY anyone should live. It's a horrible, miserable, life, that will only get worse to the point of suicide.

The reality is that if he were really some cold, methodical killer he wouldn't have some silly side life with a girlfriend that he would go crazy to avenge.
