Here in north east Texas, Ervin had so much rain that my peppers are tiny and extremely mild! Tomatoes a abundant but small, and many seeds never even sprouted. It's been different. The squash did great until the squash bugs got them. I'm starting over with everything since we have such a long summer. Your garden looks great.

Thanks and yes. We started off with lots of rain, and now… no rain. So it’s been tough!

Beautiful garden! Adorable kittens. I am definately going to try that salad. Unfortunately I am very familiar with the phrase "Those darn chickens." LOL.

That salad is sooo good. I hope you enjoy!! We got the chickens put up last night and mended fences too. So hopefully no more lost tomatoes.

Good afternoon, those tomatoes look awesome. Can you tell us why the marigolds are important in the garden, and also the reason why the seed oils are not good. Your garden looks good. Its been a super hot summer here in southern ohio, but my garden is hanging in there. God bless.

Hi there!! Yes! I’m very excited for tomatoes to ripen! From my research seed oils don’t react to heat like animal fats. Many seed oils become carcinogenic when heated and that’s how many are made to get to the consumer. Then they are used in cooking. Heating them yet again. Not only that, seed oils are inflammatory to the body. Those are just two reasons. Marigolds are supposed to help deter pests in the garden, you know they are kinda stringent smelling…. So bugs supposedly don’t like that. That’s why I use them. My tomatoes are growing well so maybe they are. Marigolds planted among the tomatoes are also lovely to look at, in my opinion. 😊

How do you keep your dill from bolting in the heat? Also, my squash vines look great, lots of blooms but produces no squash. There are plenty of pollinators so I am confused, help??
