I feel like the best advice for getting out of silver is “stop dying”. If you have more than 5 deaths in a 25min game, you’re feeding. It sounds basic/dumb, but time dead is time when you aren’t farming, aren’t getting xp, aren’t gaining or pushing a lead.

That also comes with good mental. Just having good mental takes you quite far. Players die in lane and immediately blame their team rather than thinking about what they should do now that the enemy team laner is slightly ahead of them.

Basically if you need you ultimate to kill your opponent and you cant deal that much damage in any other way. So a very good example is ksante who builds a lot of armor and goes crazy after ulting. You deal very little damage to him cus of his W and armor so the best way to kill him is with ult. and to make that deal as much damage as possible, we can build shojin combined with the new rune. The new rune is also good for when you are going a more tankier build because this way your ultimate will still deal a lot of damage.

I kinda dont go conqueror anymore. Its better for longer trades but id rather go for short trades wih grasp. Both of the runes are great vs melee bruisers/tanks, its kinda just preference based. If you instead play to scale and teamfight/scirmich a lot, then phase rush is better. I have a full long explanation of all Garen runes in my second channel if you want to hear my talk about all the runes for 15 minutes :D

but with every skill in league you need to truly make it your focus and understand that you WILL lose games/lp when you practice something. its extremely normal for your performance to dip when you stop focusing on playing since you won't be at 100% brain power on all the other fundamentals. just know when you get it down you will peak again and then restart the whole process learning a new fundamental. gl on the climb
