When you go up in the arch it can be terrifying but once you realize how many others have been there the view is absolutely amazing!

I grew up in East St. Louis and I remember watching the workers put the last piece of the Arch together on television. I also remember going up the Arch and I was blown away by what I could see while visiting the St.Louis Arch. Another thing right under the Arch was the SS Admiral River Boat.

I live 20 miles outside St. Louis and have traveled the entire country with my first husband who was a truck driver. What we did to the Indians was very wrong. Where I live is absolutely beautiful!

Visited StL and the arch from Boston in 2021, something I've always wanted to see. It and the area around it was nice, the arch and museum under it was cool, the sucky part was seeing all the dickheads that gouged graffiti into the bases of the legs.

Too bad it is in a slum area that if you walk around long enough you'll get a needle in your foot or mugged.

Do you live here because this is totally a lie it is beautiful here and it is no slum maybe you should visit before you dare such things I lived here all my life and I take lots of pictures of the arch. Go across the river maybe you will find those slums!

The Arch was started on February 12,1963 ,and completed in October 28 1965
