This group should have been more popular in the US, but they remained rather unknown. They were great, and Anneke was awesome.

They didn't fit the mold in the US. First all metal bands had to be party rock - think Aersmith or Guns n' Roses - and after that they had to be numetal - think Blink 182 or Limp Bizkit. Less conforming bands like The Gathering or Lacuna Coil never got any exposure because they didn't fit the programming.
