The eyes are made to see They see the paths of our lives The heart is there to feel It feels the energy of our time I can see it I can feel it This is my waking hour This is my place I can hear it I feel the power in my heart And is my moment It is right there And it's staring me in the face Disguise and make-believe I see the end of all demise The only way to heal Is in the honesty of your eyes I can see it I can feel it This is my waking hour This is my place I can hear it I feel the power in my heart And is my moment It is right there And it's staring me in the face The fight is done And who are we to judge What will become All the iron armour Is laid down away Followed by the heroes Who belong on rested earth, we pray We feel the rescue coming near Within the woken soul to hear we sense the calm all wrapped in fear And all the while we heed The senses way too vast to see We beg of you to not let go Our names will provide us with a soul Falling down Start again Life can bring you down The monumental truth Of ellegance in you Falling for A part of who you are Makes you shine inside

I flew from the U.S. three times, 2007 ,2009 and2011 and three times to Mexico to see the Gathering yet somehow I missed hearing about this concert. It makes me so sad to have missed it. But every time I saw them they were beyond incredible. I met the band members several times and they couldn't have been nicer. Words really can't describe the beauty and wonderfulness of this band. One of the most underrated bands of all time.

I flew from Philadelphia pa to Amsterdam in January 2007 and saw the greatest concert in my life. I was 50 when I saw them, so I had seen all the great bands, but the Gathering were so special and incredible it was the greatest concert in my life. I flew to Mexico in March of 2007 and they put on a show that was beyond incredible. And I came across them by accident. I got to know the band members and they were the nicest most genuine people you would ever want to meet. I flew over in 2011 for the last time and what a beautiful experience. Very sorry I didn't hear about the 25th anniversary concert. Makes me sad to this day that I missed that one. But the Gathering are one in a million and I am glad I got to see them 5 times.

I discovered this band way too late, long after Disclosure. As soon as I heard they would be giving an anniversary gig with all the original band members, I immediately looked for tickets - sold out. Then they scheduled a second show on the same day! I drove 1600km just to see them. The only time I saw them, with Anneke. Worth it, so worth it. Such a special afternoon. I love you guys.

I have seen them loads of times with Anneke, I lived in the Netherlands when they released Mandylion. But, I never saw them in the beginning with Bart, I also did not know about these gigs, so the only way I get to see him perform now is via these video's. I actually do not own the 2nd album, as I did not like it at all.

As i understood that wasn't the farthest distance by a long stretch ;) I've heard of people were flying in from the US, Mexico, Peru and South East Asia, then to take a 2 hour train ride to a city in the province, just to see them. Luckely Doornroosje is next to the station. I met a guy in Amsterdam last year who attended the TG25 too. The best concert he ever attended.

This song must be so empowering to young people the world over that are struggling to make life's choices and coming to terms with who they are. Technician's, welders, housewives, masters of industry, gay, mathematician, Seaman carpenter..... etc etc. " This is my waking hour this is my place and it's staring me in the face. " To me that was a life defining line in a song of a band I hardly knew at the time.

So beautiful, so ethereal and magical. Marvellous singing in that range crescendo in the middle section of the song. The passaggio between "petto" and "head voice" is perfect. Such a wonderful voice, and such underrated outside the "metal" scene. Thanks Anneke for giving away that amazing voice of yours.

Everybody argues over pigeonholing bands into genres. This is doom meal...No, it's symphonic metal" But even the band members decided what they were doing was "trip" metal. Here's my opinion: during the legendary Anneke years what they created together was music that looked at lie in all it's forms and conditions. Very philosophical. Might we call it Philosophy Gold-Alloy?

Good fuckin lord. 9/10 time I prefer to listen to the album version because the sound quality is better. I'll forgo the live performance because it just doesn't sound as good as the album, if I'm trying to listen to a song. But my word, I can't belive how amazing Anneke sounds singing live here. I think I prefer this to the album version
