Great video. Thank you. Can you please explain why dA=rdrd(theta)

Great video! The Gaussian Integral is always a fun one! Another fun video you could do is a proof on the irrationality of the square root of 2? I know it's a simple topic, but I think it's a good one. : D

This is the first of three videos leading to fractional derivatives; the next two should be more exciting. I was thinking about doing a series on basic results in number theory and prime numbers so a video on the irrationality of square root of 2 would fit in nicely!

So what does the value of e have to do with e^-infinity^2

I never understood when to convert from the normal (x,y) coordinates to polar coordinates. When I checked answers, I could never figure out how it was pi or something with pi as an answer so I rage quit the question

But I am still getting a negative half instead of half

When you evaluate the 2nd integral, the second term goes to 0 when e/-t^2 goes to infinity in the limit. So you have 1/2 - 0 = 1/2
