The GENIUS of Kamen Rider Build

Kamen Rider Build is a series that is fairly misunderstood amongst the Tokusatsu community, and a lot of that has to do with people misunderstanding the intent behind the story. Because, while Kamen Rider Build is the story of a divided nation full of conflict, a war of ideals and principles and the fear of the unknown, it's actually a story of unity. At the center are our heroes Kiryu Sento and his partner Banjou Ryuga as they fight against conflict and disunity through their bonds and the power of unity: to become the genius known as Kamen Rider Build.

The true masterpiece of Kazumin is seeing him reunited with his friends at the end. He earned their loyalty by repaying their deaths, and he doesn't even remember it, but by not remembering it, he doesn't have to hold the burden of their deaths anymore. ANother notable moment is when he and Rogue allow themselves to be captured to find the gas baths. He knew that his friends had died from that, but he had no hesistation going there to do what was right, just like he had no hesistation activated the blizzard form. Ryuga had a great arc being the prodigy and surpassing the main character until very near the end (and maybe the tournament with the Gear bros). He is so fun and loveable, which gives Evolt's body snatching so much weight. THe final episode being a race to save Ryuga feels correct. What stakes could be higher than saving the most typically likeable character? Build himself is fascinating in that he is a main character highly overshadowed by Ryuga. Sento has the hair quirk for a few episodes, but quickly drops that for more than half the show after the Faust revelation. He loses his innocence very fast. In his remorse, he becomes the leader they needed. He has to make decisions and stand up to things the rest of the cast just can't. He tries to hide his pain from Misora because he hates his situation but wants his friends to be happy. He doesn't care about being funny or happy or cool (well a little bit when he shows off a new invention). We don't prefer him to other characters, but his character is not begging to be liked. What he cares about more is having the power to protect the group. He is contrasted by Evolt, who uses his power to backstab the other blood aliens, to betray Misora, and to betray pretty much every character in the show one at a time. I haven't watched the sequel, but the fact that we was the one with amnesia at the beginning, but had become one of the only two without amnesia by the end. He flips from being someone learning to love, then to protect, to being a rounded person in a neutral world. The basic takeaway is that we can build eachother up or tear eachother down.

Why Kamen Rider Build is the best rider show in my life is that all character have their unique backstories and ways to shine within eachother. Not just the main character that always be the powerful and important but the villains, the side character have all the important role. You could say that the writing itself made huge impact. We actually know why they did this or how this happen. Im suprised that out of all the character Banjou plays an important role. The way they showcase that not only Misora theone have power to bring the bottle alive but Banjou holds Evolt DNA which is crucial for the awakening of his (Evol) true power. In conclusion the writer succed on making every character understandable and important to the show

@@KuroYukimura the light would be the effects of the nebula gas, because why else would such light be negated later in the series? The behaviour altering effects of the gas are nullified by the rider system because it was related to the hazard levels. The lights physically speaking is a side effect of what happens with the box was touched and coincided with the effects

Till this day, this is my top one favorite Modern Kamen rider Series. Sure it can be boring and character can begoofy and silly in some episode, but the overall is a fun ride.

the pacing of this season i have found no other kamen rider season like it i always had to watch one more i think i binged the show in 3 days i went to watch revice right after and i have been struggling to watch it bc this season left such a huge impact its a perfect season

Imagine if Gotchard is a literal hybrid of Build, Fourze and Donbrothers with a different direction while having Geats', Ex-Aid, Zero One's asthetics as well as retaining some of Gotchard's aspects such as the Chemies (except it's 191), their matches, and other stuff while having nine protagonists that included Houtaro and Rinne, as well as a kogal and Houtaro's rival with Akito Hijiri's personality and the writers are Toshiki Inoue and Gotchard's original writer Hiroki Uchida? And get this, what if Build and Fourze's themes as well as the lyrics of Gotchard's theme (CHEMY×STORY), as well aa imagination, and destiny are the themes of the show instead of alchemy?
