I think its a bit of a misunderstanding that the system was not ‘meant’ to counter. Why do you think we press so relentlessly? To recover the ball and exploit the spaces immediately. That has been a part of the style from day one, but this season we just have improved massively in our pressing. Just because we have the ball a lot doesnt mean the transitional moments are not a part of the plan. Just look at the transitional moments and watch how determined and structured everyone attacks the space; thats what trained patterns look like.

While brighton game still stings, pressing triggers really are elite throughout the season. So chaotic yet organized.

After seeing him look so good in a position that obviously didn’t suit him for much of last season, it is so incredibly satisfying to see kulu really getting to apply his whole game this year.

It was interesting to see Sarr comes in for Maddison. Essentially reverting back to our original 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 formation last season.
@thestrika3 сағат бұрын
I think this is more a 4-3-3 Kulu still plays very much as a CM more than Maddison did back then

The issue with defending crosses doesn’t have anything to do with Ange’s system. It’s just poor defending and I imagine we’re working on it just like it’s clear we worked on defensive set pieces and counterattacks. Remember when ange was getting so much criticism for getting beat on the counter? Now every time it seems like the opponent is countering we immediately have everyone back in front of the ball. I’m confident it will be worked out.

Son played like he used to, explosive, quick, dribbling. Was so nice to see!

Bringing Sarr on for madders was a really good decision and hopefully it will make Maddison more hungry. Sarr is better than Maddison when it’s very back and forth.

Sarr is the future.

Madders is finished imo, he doesnt suit the free flowing football ange wants or have any strength. He wants to take too many touches and invade the space of other players, Kulu is so much more devastating in the middle of the park.
@SucculentMosquito5 сағат бұрын
@rawmaterial9679 nah he not finished he just didn't suit this game, you need to adapt, sometimes you need a player like sarr over maddison, it just depends
@danielhackett15814 сағат бұрын
We should play Madders on the wing. Allows him more space, less ball winning needed and makes use of his dribbling and crossing. We are a bit light in the wing areas also. I'd use him at RW when Johnson needs a break
@bram46092 сағат бұрын
@@rawmaterial9679 jeez what are people reactive. Some games ago he was the best and now he is finished. Madders is a great player that fits our game perfectly. The fact that yesterday we needed sarr to bring some stability on the midfield and kill off their transitions, doenst mean madders was shit.

Djed Spence and Brenan Johnson on the right wing was the main factor that got us (Forest) promoted to the prem. They're a great pair

Thank you so much; our only problem as a team is losing momentum around 65 minutes into the game. But I saw something today that impressed me. We kept the heat on till the end. We will be wildly successful if we can do this in every game. Thank you for pointing this out. Our fan base needs to chill.

He is only 21 years old, he has a lot of potential and is still learning the game. James is 27 years old I think he will be a great substitute player like Timo Werner - its Kulu who is the man now.

I feel bad for kudus...he probably cries in his sleep because he plays for west ham
@p_sg344917 минут бұрын
Still not convinced by Udogie. Good in the attacking half but less than impressive when defending. He wasn't brought in as a creative attacker - we have those. He was brought in to be a defender and he's not doing well in that role recently. Some say he's not fully fit but he seems fit enough going forward. Some serious defensive coaching needed.

Definitely hard for our fullback to pick up players in defence when the Ange ball has them so far forward

in this day and age, fans get on players back after just 1 bad game. Lay off Udogie. He's just 21 and can still make mistakes... but for sure he's a LB that 19 other premiership teams would want..
