Chelsea 4-4 Manchester City might already be the game of the season. But while Cole Palmer's dramatic late penalty might only have salvaged a point for his team, their overall performance shows that Mauricio Pochettino absolutely had Pep Guardiola's number.

People keep saying that Chelsea don't know what they're doing but it's clearly coming together. Unlike Man United we actually are developing a style of play that you can see in each game under Poch. That was probably our best showing of playing as a team, every player looked like they knew where every other player was with the amount of no look passes into space where another player would always be

Bringing off a class player like Enzo Fernandez might of had Chelsea fans a bit confused, but it meant C.Gallagher slotted in next to Caicedo, meaning Chelsea had a proper front 4 of Sterling, C.Palmer, Mudryk and Jackson against Man City back three. IM SO GLAD SOMEONE FINALLY GIVES JACKSON HIS PRAISE FOR THAT RUN. Without that run Borja doesn’t have the space to receive the ball, wiggle and eventual win the pen. Jackson’s runs inn behind acted as little jabs against the city backline and caused a major problem for city the entire game. This actually allowed for the channels between Rodri and the back 4 to be stretched even more thus isolating Rodri even further. No wonder he was exhausted at the end of the game. ALSO. Jackson sniffing out that goal from nowhere to equalise 3-3 was a brilliant poachers goal at its finest. Don’t sleep on him. He will be a beast.

Chelsea were incredible lets not diminish that, everyone should give you your flowers what a performance, they fought hard on the pitch it was amazing to see the teams battle it out . I don't think city fans should worry other than some defense issues, but it's just November for city, we all know and have proof that when city need to get 3 pts for the title they'll do it, they'll click into form no matter what. They've done the last 3 years. Though this match does make this title challenge more interesting for viewers not the table. I would say its more of a game to take for Chelsea than city and anyone that says city are in crisis or something hasn't watched the Pl in the last 5-6 yrs, they do this the beginning of every damn season and they go on some scary winning streak at the back end

It's very simple. People thought Chelsea were in trouble with a run of games against top sides ahead of them, but it has not turned out that way because of one man. Demolition man, Raheem Sterling creating panic in the opposition defense producing goals, goal assists and opposition players being sent off and penalties being won as they tried to deal with him. His name was the only name mentioned again and again by Pep after the game and when he said the former Man City players were a very important part of Man City success, there is only one man he could have been talking about, Raheem Sterling. His name was the only name, Klopp, the Liverpool manager mentioned again and again after playing Chelsea. Two great managers seeing his significant contributions and recognising him as the danger man and stand out in the Chelsea team, but pundits and the media would see hell freeze over before they would admit this or even see, such is their hatred of the player. You can bet your bottom dollar a player doing what he is doing at Chelsea would be hailed as Rooney and Gascoigne were, but not a black player, much as John Barnes was ignored and pushed out to play on the wing for England. I made an error in saying Sterling had a significant involvement in 10 out of Chelsea's last 16 goals, but that was an error. He has been involved in 11 out of Chelsea's last 16 goals, and I apologise to him for making that error. What an incredible statistic. When you add that to the statistic that he is both the highest assist provider for England and the second highest scorer, and that he almost single handedly dragged England to their first final in over 50 years, one has to ask the question. How is he not in the England team, let alone the England squad and how is a 21 year old who has scored nothing, but penalties, been hailed above him as the player responsible for Chelsea's successful performances by gthe media despite all the stats. It can only be racism. You are talking about the most successful and best paid English attacking player and one of the best wingers in the world who has proved himself again and again since the age of 17 criticised the whole way as not good enough throughout what are amazing achievements for a 28 year old. CHELSEA V ARSENAL - Against Arsenal it was his cross that won the penalty and his solo run into the box that dragged the goalie of the line with the ball accidentally going over his head. He could have taken the penalty, but allowed Palmer to take it to avoid an argument and a destruction of the teams concentration. Palmer had no right to demand to take it as the manager has not said he is the penalty taker and believes others are capable of taking penalties as well and should be allowed to if they want to. Palmer's insistence he take the penalties is therefore an act of petulance not leadership with other team players not prepared to have an argument on the pitch with a selfish 21 year old who is trying to mature into understanding what a team player is, which is fine because he is young and needs time. CHELSEA V TOTTENHAM - Against Tottenham, Sterling scored the disallowed goal against the run of play that made Tottenham check their confidence and it was Sterling that was being tackled as he did what he does best which is to create panic in the opposition box, attempting a dribble in the box that led to the foul that had the first player sent off as in tackling Sterling the Tottenham player lost control of the ball and was trying to get it back in control, resulting in him fouling a Chelsea player coming for the ball and being sent off reducing Tottenham to 10 men. Sterling was then fouled resulting in a red card and Tottenham being reduced to 9 men, and before it being Sterling that broke through the defense and leading by example to show how to get a goal setting up Jackson for a goal to put Chelsea ahead of Tottenham after his team mates had been struggling to get because of selfishness despite all their opportunities. CHELSEA V MAN CITY - Here you had Sterling in, not just a clear man of the match performance from which he was robbed, but a masterclass in a world class performance going toe to toe with the players of the best team in the world, toying with them and looking better than them. He scored the second goal to put Chelsea ahead for the first time and then in a stroke of genius with time running out delivered the ball like a grenade into the box that created panic in the box and resulted in a penalty that would draw Chelsea level. I would like to see the list of what it is those who claim Palmer has been the main man supports their argument. The list will be penalty, penalty, penalty, but even behind that the list would be penalty won by Sterling, penalty won by Sterling, etc as he involved in so much of the threat Chelsea provides on the pitch. We need to show our demolition man who has proved himself and has the medals and stats to back it up more respect. Forget what agenda the media have with all the negativity and disrespect they throw at him and brainwash people into believing. Long may his relentless work and genius continue. Believe me, if England are to win anything, they will need his penalties, players being sent off trying to stop him, the chaos he causes in opposition defenses and his high stats in goals and assists as a must. No other England player can provide this much variety as a threat and this why great managers value him, not even close, and it is why Pep said he contributed to the great success of the Man City side. Peace and love

here i did summary using chatgpt. hope it helps Chelsea faced a challenging run of games against top sides, but Raheem Sterling's exceptional performance has been a game-changer. Sterling has been a key figure, creating panic in opposition defenses, producing goals, assists, and influencing opponents to get sent off or concede penalties. Both Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp acknowledged Sterling's significant contributions, recognizing him as the standout danger man for Chelsea. The media's reluctance to acknowledge Sterling's excellence is criticized, with the author attributing it to potential racism. The author corrects a previous error, stating that Sterling has been involved in 11 out of Chelsea's last 16 goals. The author questions why a 21-year-old, primarily a penalty scorer, receives more media attention than Sterling, citing potential racism. Specific match examples highlight Sterling's crucial plays, such as winning a penalty against Arsenal and influencing red cards against Tottenham. Sterling's importance to the England team is emphasized, with his goal-scoring ability, assist records, and contributions to reaching the final. The author expresses frustration with media negativity and calls for more respect for Sterling's achievements and contributions to the team. Overall, Sterling's versatility, threat variety, and significant impact on the game are praised, with the belief that he is crucial for England's success.

What Chelsea has lacked (for most of last season and the start of this) is the game plan. But from the Fulham game onwards Chelsea has shown improvement, they have gone into the games with plans on how to win. Now there are some issues like how to beat teams that like to sit back and wait for their opportunities to quickly counterattack and Sanchez in goal. When Chelsea loaned out Kepa for Real, I hoped they would get an actual goalie (either buy one or get one on loan).

Pochettino doesn't have Pep's number but he does have a couple of his former players who know how to play against City. If Guardiola made a mistake it was to expect the usual opposition tactic of a low block and a break to get a goal against City. Far from it Chelsea decided to play an open game and put City under pressure. That's why Guardiola substituted his left winger Doku early so that Grealish was instructed to introduce more control. But the wild horses had left the stable. The game was going from one end to the other. Doku was started to beat a low block. But the block wasn't there and he was losing the ball. Pep hates games like that. He berated City when they won 6-3 last season. But he knew this time he was at fault as well.

Way too much hype for this one match against City. Remember that City held them on their home turf to a 4-4 draw & that's quite incredible. People are just so used to City creating massive score lines that they forget just how consistent they are. That's why they're top of the table. It's all about consistency & if Chelsea can't maintain that, they're just gonna be fly by nights this season. Make no mistake. At this level, it's all about playing great football ALL the time, while absorbing some strange results.

Chelsea's biggest problem this season & probably next season too will be consistency. There are a lot of young players in this Chelsea team & young players are famous for having problems with consistency. They are also naive & we saw this cause them a win against Arsenal recently. This was always going to be Chelsea's problem when they decided to recruit so many young players.

Everyone should chill. Chelsea spent 1b and were at home at Stamford bridge. It’s not like they won the game. Sure they’ve been poor since the takeover, but this was a draw at home at the 95th minute. It’s not like they’ve won a cup.

They didn't really unlocked anything, very simple facts, City's defense were worse in this match, 1st goal ->No one is marking Silva, even though it was a very good header, 2nd goal was Garviols mistake On the 3rd one City defenders were just slower than Jackson, The penalty was very cheap one to give away, although the rain made him slip more. There was no great goal in this match

Chelsea were not the better team I don't know why anyone is parroting this statement. They had moments in the game where they looked good, but if you're comparing that to old Chelsea its very promising. Chelsea goals came from City's own mistakes... City beat themselves, and are directly responsible for the goals, Ederson poor goalkeeping on first goal, Gvardiol mistake on the second goal, Ederson again parrying the ball directly down the middle for the follow up shot, and Ruben sliding like a mad man and taking out the player. City literally made every mistake they could make and it all led to Chelsea goals. If you call that dominating and the better team you are going to be extremely let down as the season plays out. We have a long way to catch up and there is a reason we are where we are at the moment in the table. Dont let that City bad performance fool you

@@timmyjoshua276 i know we always had the quality but weren’t just as polished as city. Pep and Poch have an interesting history and Poch is one of the few managers to go head to head with pep. The one obvious mistake was from the penalty. Other than that’s city opened us up and Sanchez even made a top save to keep us still in the game.

So by your logic city goals where also errors/luck. Haalands pen even though he started the pulling, Sanchez slipping trying to dive for akanji's header, Sanchez not reaching the ball in time for haalands goal. A MASSIVE defelction of Thiago Silva for Rodri's goal. You can't discredit Chelsea for exploiting mistakes cause by city while under pressure by Chelsea. Chelsea created those mistakes for them to expolit
