I was reading the Bible 50 yrs ago as a new jw prospect. Joshua was a real eye opener. It took me 7 more yrs to figure out that it was all a bunch of bunk By that time, Ray Franz was beginning to have doubts too. When they made me an elder after 6 yrs, the creepiness became to much and I knew I was on my way out Less than a yr later I was gone, scratching my head wondering what that was all about So happy to be part of the exjw community on KZbin and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us

I've been listening to a lot of Atheist Bible Scholars like Bart Urman and Richard Carrier ,the more I look at the Bible I discover how messed up it is ,but fascinating still and it still has people under its spell .

Not only is the earth on an elliptical orbit of the sun at around 67,000 mph, but the surface at the equator is spinning at around 1000 mph. The orbit is elliptical because the earth is also affected by the other planets in our solar system. Our solar system is on another gravitational elliptical orbit around our Milky Way galaxy and is traveling at 514,000 mph, and the Milky Way is traveling at a relative speed through space at 1.3 million miles per hour. This is all a consequence of billions of years of space material gathering and reacting to each other’s vastly varying gravitational mass influences. To “stop the earth” would have immediate and permanent devastation on the planet, not just the obvious devastating inertia consequences of everything on the surface of it. For those that claim “all things are possible with god”, does it not occur to them that a far simpler solution would have occurred to him, than having to juggle the absolute immeasurable chaotic consequences of making the earth stand still.

In the days of Joshua the Sun use to move around the Earth ,then God decided to help the Israelites kill the Midienites so he made the Sun stand still for a whole day ,because the Bible says so and it,s impossible for God to lie ,who are we to question the Almighty, how dare you question the Almighty, get down on your knees and repent .😂😂😂

Joshua is a horrible book ,of the 66 books of the Bible ,it,s the bloodiest .I enjoy listening to Atheist Bible Scholars like Bart Urman and Richard Carrier. As a Atheist my knowledge of the Bible is my greatest weapon against people who try to convert me back into Christianity. The Bible is the Atheist,s hand book ,it's sad Christians don't read all of the 66 books ,written by 40 different authors, written over 16 Centuries .Contradictory and Unscientific.

@@justinporter458 yes l agree , l guess Justin l had so much of it ramed down my throat even going to a church school in England as a child , still the best thing with C of E it's like vanilla ice cream it goes with everything 😁 mind you the church is very pretty in the country side , o but no Lovely kangaroos 😁😂👍

& there's a Christian man name David Wood who is constantly makes KZbin videos poking at the Qur'an with a smirk on his face & he needs to look at his own book & I don't mean that to disrespect Christianity but to wipe David Woods grin off his face.
