"blockflöte" is a flute, "gesicht" means face - so "fluteface" :) at 07:50 she talks about putting lotion on your face in german, "ganz sanft" means "very softly", softly also meant in a social setting. "trockene stellen" are dry places (?) on a face erbsenzähler means peas counter ps: "verfalute mandarine" is the best german insult. it translates to rotten (don't know if that's the correct form) mandarin (the kind of fruit that looks like a small orange) :)

German is so comforting to me. My dad is from Germany and It's been so long since I've been to Germany to see my family since covid and German speaking and Germany just makes me so happy.

Hahaha Blockflötengesicht wie geil 😆! maybe this is common knowledge to eda-fans but I'm new & curious & I hope the question is ok sooooo why do speak such perfect accent-free german? I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and wow you help me so much while dealing with an awful lot of stress at work and uni... Thank you Eda 🥰

Based on a quick google search she was born in Germany. I have trouble placing accents so I wanted to double check before answering your question

I think she is German 😅 you can hear a faint accent when she speaks English

I always wonder if you could hear that im german when i speak english. But i rarely get the opportunity to speak with native english speakers. I think i am pretty accent free. But i could be wrong.
