The Gerry Christy Incident | Providence 1967

Jerry Tillinghast returned home from Vietnam in July of 1967 and went to work for the city of Providence as a street sweeper. But when he wasn't working, he was checking out bars and nightclubs.
One evening, in 1967, he unknowingly got mixed up with some people who were involved with organized crime. It would be Jerry's first time dealing with the mob, but certainly not his last.

When *men* tell stories, it's a lot less flashy and a lot more real. My comment is odd to read at first, but it is still a lot different than saying something like, "the leading cause of marriage is divorce."... That's like saying the leading cause of death is life... it's just too easy to respond to in a variety of situations... My comment was pertaining to the boys who say they went through hell and back, when they actually just went through basic training and a few years of eating MRE's in the desert... There's a big difference between them and the men who actually saw combat and have a hard time retelling their *true* stories... But yeah, you're a funny one. 🥱
